A Better Saved Game
Dear TTD Members;
A couple of weeks ago, I posted that I was working on a way, AFAIK, of
making a better Saved Game. I've finally finished it. I hope some of you will like it.
My new saved game is called "Four Square Transportation"
This game is from my scenario "TTD - Squares", (which I'm still playing, Wow!)
1st, I've removed ALL vehicles.
2nd, I removed all Airports.
3rd, I removed all industries, except 3 Oil Rigs, Fishing areas, and I left 1 Oil Industry.
(You'll see why when you download the game.)
4th, I removed all earned money except for $1,000,000.
5th, It starts in the year 2000
The reason? It seems to me, when playing a game, that by the time you've put in your
RR system, your Bus/Trucking and Shipping lines, you're 'burned out' on that game.
The reason being that you've put in long hours building RR tracks, bouys, etc., to bring
it up to when you really start to install the vehicles you wish to make make money,
or streamline your RR systems to be more effective.
Well, in "Four Square Transportation"the hard part is already installed, and now
you just have a fresh start, putting in only the trains you want and where you want them to go,
and 'tweak' the game, like say streamline your RR system to suit your needs,
or add the industries you want, etc.. You're just generally enjoying the fruits of another man's labor.
Right? I hope so.
That's why I wanted you to have this game and NOT be burned out before you get a chance to really
enjoy playing it! See, I'm thinkin' of you fellows who I've heard you're limited on time.
So, maybe, it's a better way to share a Saved Game?
Always,
Jim Powers

TTD - Squares
Mr. Lakie;
Thanks again, my good Friend! If you all weren't there to help me,
this topic wouldn't be as popular as it is today. So, it's like it's all of us's topic,
because, we all play a part in making it interesting and informative. Thanks Man!
BTW, I've found "TTD - Squares" to be kinda addictive. Now, with the RR system
installed, I just want to keep adding trains, and other vehicles to it.
I now have a very profitable Bus line system which makes about $750,000. a year.
My overall total profit is about $2,500,000,000., annually. Fun!
Always,
Jim Powers

Thanks
Dear Mr. Lakie;
Thanks for making that scenario adjustment. It's good to have "Four Square Transportation",
(a Saved Game) noticed, but it's probably best to put only scenarios on my Scenario List.
Another screenie from "Four Square Transportation".

Mr. Damienhe;
Welcome! Looks like you're getting the 'feel' of TT-Forums.
To answer your question, just look on page #50 in my topic here,
especially from the post of Mr. Sanchimaru. He and Mr. Oracle wowed
us with the new animated Freight Station & Harbour.
Mr. Geo.c Ghost, sorry I didn't answer you sooner, been real busy and
hadn't realized you posted, my good ol' buddy. The new depots, Mr. Mickeye posted
came from " P.S: That nice depot was made by lifeblood AFAIK and it's part of
great Canadian Train Set (CanSet)." Great stuff and a lot of fun too.
Always,
Jim Powers

Actually, I noticed that it was a saved game while back, Mr Powers. I removed it from the scenario list at that time, probably should have said.

Dear Jim:
Thanks for all your support. I cannot thank you enough. But can you make a Scenario version of Four Squares Transport? I, for one, don't get tired of building networks and I don't experience the wall you mention of. Plus, I need more experience of building networks. Just looking at them won't help, now will it?

Imagination! Here, you learn what it is to be human. You are a creator of order, of beautiful shapes and systems, an organizer of chaos.

The possibilities of the New Freight Station & Harbour
Mr. Jamesvassie;
There are [4] parts of 'TTD - Squares 045.png'.
(1) The large Airport ( I don't know the aurthor.)
(2) The RR Station is from Mr. Blunck's super 'Platforms' station set.
(3) That neat Wooden Dock graphic is "woodendockw.grf"( I'm sorry I don't know the author.)
(4) The ANIMATED Freight Station & Harbour came from super graphics designer Mr.Sanchimaru,
and another genius Mr. Oracle , who "who kindly coded my sprites".
In my own Saved Game called ' Four Square Transport Co,' the train set that I use, of course, is
from my good friend and pal Mr. Krtaylor & his fine team's US SET, (which is still my all-time
favorite trains set.)
Now, add all that to Mr. RPharazon and our latest scenario, "Amazing Alberta",
along with the fantastic Canadian train set from Mr. DanMack and that cool RR Depot
from Mr. Lifeblood , and you really can have a very super layout! Right? Right!
BTW, a huge THANK YOU to "Mr. Patchman" and all you hard working guys,
who have made TTD The ultimate Game!

Interesting India
Dear TT-Forums Members;
I've been 'tied up' for a while on a big Dry Wall project, and haven't had time to work on scenarios.
However, I've started back on one of my Far East scenarios called "Interesting India".
This scenario will feature some of those beautiful Oriental buildings and landscapes designed by
our Eastern graphic geniuses, which is very exciting to work with these men. I just love their work.
Thanks Graphic Designers!
Here's a 'screenie' from "Interesting India". India is truely 'Interesting'!

When finished?
Mr. DonChris;
I appreciate your interest, Sir. Now to answer your question. I'm going to Eilat with
a group of my wife's family and friends, this next weekend for 3 days, (It's my birthday.)
So, I should complete "Interesting India" in a couple of weeks, at the most.
Always,
Jim Powers

Scenario Progress
Mr. Geo.c Ghost;
Thanks you, Sir, for your encouragement and compliments. These are the things that keep
me making scenarios. Thank you.
Speaking about scenarios, I checked and I'm proud to say that there's been a total of over
15,000 people who've downloaded my scenarios. The most popular, "Extreme cities", has
over 3,000 downloads, and next is "Outrageous Outback ll" with over 2,100 downloads, and
that's only from two web sites, and that being from here at Mr. Rudge's TT-Forums and also
from Mr. Krtaylor's web site, http://www.as-st.com, US SET Trains. Wouldn't you think that that's
pretty good progress? I think so.
My latest scenario, "Interesting India", is coming
along nicely and should be out soon. Look for it!

I hope you have a very happy birthday, and many happy returns to yourself, too
.
Also, massive amounts of kudos for your download numbers. I challenge any other scenario creator to beat THOSE numbers
