Try "Outrageous Outback II"

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. Weirdy;

If you're asking where I come from, it is Florida, USA. If you're asking
if I have a scenario of Australia, I do. It is named "Outrageous Outback II".
on Page #6, in this same topic. Download it and join the other 1,442 people
who already have. Thanks for inquiring, Sir. :wink:

To avoid confusion, I have removed "Noticable Netherlands" from your post which meant to have "Elegant England Plus", hope this is OK with you. :)

I've downloaded the scenario now, will give it a shot soon!

krtaylor: I've finished my prelims now, so in theory, I should have some more time to work on the Repository soon... will see how it goes, anyway!

Dear Mr. Rudge;

Thanks so much for omitting this scenario file error. I couldn't
and didn't know what to do. Mr. Armstrong was kind enough to bring it to our
attention, which I thank him profusely. It seems always the small things
cause big problem, (Alpha 'bugs', etc.) So, I hope all will enjoy playing
"Elegant England Plus" as much as I had creating it. Also hope it's at least
generally 'believable' in the real sense. Again, thanks for your faithfulness
and support, Sir. I'm honored to know you and call you Friend.

Always,
Jim powers :)

Jim! Mate!

You have done it again, some more superb work from your hands (or, that should probably read mouse :))). I have barely started playing a game on Noticable Netherlands, and you whip out another one! How do you find the time?

Great work mate, as an aspiring scenario-creating-bloke (technical term :))), I can easily look to these for inspiration :].

New Feature

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. SHADOW-XIII;

Thanks for thinking of me and also making me aware of this "place building"
feature,Sir. I've got Alpha 45. I went to and read the topic you suggested.
Now, (since I'm just a regular,) how do you get it to work? I used the "Rock"
icon and Ctl. but I still got only 'rock'. If you'd "walk" me through, my Friend,
I'd deeply appreciate it. :)

Thanks for the help in advance.

Alpha 45

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. Rob;

Thanks for letting me know this, Sir. It sounds like we're going to raise
'the Bar' a notch ot two in scenario making. Should be quite fun!

BTY, I see you're from The Netherlands. Have you taken a look at one
of my latest scenarios, called "Noticeable Netherlands"? If you have,
in your opinion, have I done the Dutch proud? I hope so. Anyway,
thanks for the "info", Sir. :)

10 City Circle

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TT-Forums Family;

Yes, it's another scenario. This is called "10 City Circle".
Why? Because this scenario is full of very high mountains, of course,
ooodles of industries, and millions of trees. Now, put that together with
10 huge cities in a circle with a giant river going through the middle,
and presto!..... "10 City Circle", (YOU name the cities!)! 8)

Here are Some "screenies" of my latest scenario "10 City Circle".

Scenario

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear Mr. KRtaylor;

I see you remembered our discussion about this scenario.
And, you are right, the Japanese Set will be truely compatible
with "10 City Circle". Did you like the changes? Thought it'd be
fun to change up a bit. BTW, I'm working on yet another
Japanese scenario. Will let you know when it's about ready.
Thanks for your help, Big Guy.

Mr. Rob;

It only inspires me further to see members like you having fun
with my scenarios. I'll keep at it as long as you all keep playing them. :wink:

These pictures scare the sh*t out of me...
If I think about my altered buildings (no of peoples), that will by one hell of a challenge to play. But I will give it a try anyways. :wink:

Thanks for your support

Mr. Raichase;

I hope I've given you a little inspiration, Sir. If I had more time,
I'd be making even more scenarios. I have several in various stages
at the present time. I have more in my head, which, in my limited
spare time, I try to "bring to life". Your support is very much welcomed
and appreciated, Friend.

Jim Powers :)

I need Help

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TT-Forums Members;

Would someone help me with my game problem?
The 'trafficset(3)' for those nice new bridges is only appearing on
half of the bridges and the regular bridges on the other side of the
same bridges. Now, this happens only on the RR bridges, not the
'road' bridges. Strange? I've deleted and reinstalled the file and .grf
but to no avail. This has happened on several of my games.
I have TTD DOS version. Windows 98. The latest Alpha 45. If someone
would help me, I'd really appreciate it very much. I'm in the middle of
"Notable Norway" and we need bridges! This scenario is one of my best!

Thanks, Mr. Raichase, your words are too kind. I simply don't do that much.
But, thank you, Sir. :wink:

Did you ever use the old bridges set that was an EXE? To uninstall that, you have to reinstall TTD I think.

Bridges

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. KRTaylor;

Thanks for getting back to me, my Good Buddy and Friend.
To reinstall TTD sounds a bit scary to me. It's sure ashame
for this beautiful layout to be ruined by these mismatched
bridges. I have the CD, even though it's DOS. I used to have
the old floppy discs for the original TTD, but in the scuffle of
the USA and Israel, I've lost those. I hope there's a better
solution, Big Guy. Remembering that I'm just one of those 'regulars.'

BTY, how's the Japanese Train Set doing. I tried to make the scenario,
as you suggested, but it looked bad, so I deleted it. I'm on another
one of Japan though, I'll get with you later on it. OK? 8)

Always,
Jim Powers
