YES!!

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. KRTaylor;

YES finally! The only 'clitch' is I can't use Alpha 46. When I go to
load it I run into [Error] problems. I sure dig that cool music on
Windows version. I turned it up AMAP and only when the wife yelled
at me did I have to lower the volume. :lol:

You've been so patient with me, and I thank you, my dear Friend.
God bless you all for putting up with me and figuring it out. I wish I was
smarter at computers, but............ :?

I'm playing "Notable Norway" and this scenario, (if I might say so,) is
really a great scenario, and tough to place a RR network over and around
those super mountains. What fun!

Always,
Jim Powers :wink:

Well, let's try and fix that. What version are you using? And what's the error with alpha 46?

Also, I take it that your new GRFs are all working properly with the Windows versions?

I Installed Alpha 47

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. KRTaylor;

I just downloaded Alpha 47 with no problems. Also the .GRF was OK.
I really thank you for your faithful support and assistance, My Friend. :wink:

Lumber Jack

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TT-Forums Members;

Well, I got inspired to make another scenario. This scenario is
called "Lumber Jack".

For those who don't know what a 'Lumber Jack' is, a Lumber Jack is
a person who cuts down trees. So, now you know what to do in this
high mountain range. Forestry, that's what. And there's plenty of forests
to chop down. Enviromentalists, please save your breath, this is only
a game, a very difficult one though. I've sent 'screenies' too.:wink:

Always,
Jim Powers

Lumber Jack

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TT-forums Family;

I present my latest scenario "Lumber Jack"!

This is a scenario with forestry in mind. There are also plenty of coal and Gold to be mined out of "them thar hills, eh, mountains, BIG ones"! I think
this one will be one of the most 'fun' one I've done. I set it up with (KRTaylor's) USSET trains.
This is my first scenario made with my "Windows"
version of TTD. I'm sure glad you all encouraged me to change from the
DOS. I paid attention ot Mr. Patchman's suggestion on the vehicle multiplier
and so this should be very good working and easy to install. It is in the
"Artic" mode. Have fun, a lot of Fun! :)

Jim Powers

Holy crap, look at all those trees! It will be very hard to bribe recalcitrant towns by planting more, they've got plenty.

But where are the forests that actually produce trees? I didn't notice any in the photo.

They are hard to distinguish from the other trees, but I can see at least two :wink:

Trees

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear Me KRTaylor and Mr Jacke;

Thats the "FUN" part, just trying to find the forest without looking on the
industry section of the overall map. I think that there is at least 20 forests
and plenty of coal to fuel those US trains to get to them. The 8 'Tree named'
cities all have banks to store all the Gold that's in "them thar hills" too. With
rivers running down through the chasims it's gonna to be hard getting the
goods to market! :lol:

Some more screenies.

Always,
Jim Powers

Thanks for asking and it's been suggested that I get one, but, Mr. Rudge
has been so kind as to allow me a topic for me to place my scenarios and

part of TT-Forums' Family. I'm honored to be here. Thanks Mr. Owen Rudge.
You're the best!:D

Mr. Shadow XIII;

THANKS Buddy! I didn't know that. I just checked it out and I really can
put the 'Building' to use. See, I glanced at something to do with building
and didn't think I was smart enough to do anything with it. Then, you gave
me a simple instruction and now I can make scenarios even faster. Thanks
again.

I do hope you'll have as much fun with "Lumber Jack" as I'm having. I'm
mining coal and cutting trees as I write. Tomorrow, I'll start another scenario
with your fine suggestion and we'll see what all will happen, my Friend.:wink:

Always,
Jim Powers

P.S. I love trains!

Jim!

Happy easter! That scenario looks - wow! So many tree's, it will certainly be a challenge to not make the towns angry :D. Thanks for another great looking scenario!

When you want to, Jim, just say the word and I'll put it up on the US set, if you like.

Lumber Jack

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear Mr. KRTaylor;

Do you even have to ask, Sir? Of course I'd be honored for you to
place my scenario "Lumber Jack" on your excellent web site! It is
American centered. Though when I went to play, the Game Options
would only give me "English". Don't know why? I created it under "America".
(Miner clitch.) The main thing is to have a blast with it......... I AM! :))

I'm happy, Mr. Raichase, that you like "Lumber Jack".
Also, a Happy Easter to you and all of TT-Forums members!
You're right about those zillions of trees, I didn't think it was
going to be so hard, but, it is.........and that is fun, fun, fun!

Yeah, there's a bug with that. Patchman's looking into it. Got nothing to do with your scenario, we have that problem with the test US set also. Don't worry about it for now.

Do you want me to put it on the site now, or wait 'till that's fixed?

Mr. KRTaylor;

my scenarios on your great web site,

P.S. I'm also using your PlaneSet and it really looks nice.
Those deridgables (Blimps) sure look great. Using them with
small airports in those high mountianous small town areas are
perfect here. Good idea! :wink:

I never had troubles finding this thread, so stickifying is not really necessary IMO...
