Remodeled HQ
Dear Members;
I upgraded (remodeled) my Headquarters (HQ). It's from the scenario called "Fashionable France".
So, I tried to be 'fashionable'.
Always,
Jim Powers

Both of you are wrong!
HQ's accept passengers but NOT mail!
They also produce passengers but NOT mail!

Here's a screenshot.
Only the higher level HQs produce passengers at a fast enough rate to be economically viable for a bus line. The other ones produce 1 passenger every 2 minutes... ;P
EDIT: Reuploaded the screenshot, although it won't be of much use, because the HQs work differently in OpenTTD.

- As you can see there are 4 2/8 mail tiles and 4 5/8 passenger tiles.

HQ
Dear Members;
I'd changed the HQ since I took that last pic. This way I get the use of a Heliport
with Passengers and mail, and it made it possible to advertise my company
as well. Below is the updated HQ version
Mr. Weirdy, When I saw those roads, I had to have them. The grf is: JCROADS_A.grf.
Thanks Mr. JC! A beautiful job. (He has bridges too if you like).
Mr. D00mh4mm3r, It didn't take much time, I just went to an area where there was room
to make it. I like water a lot, (I live by The Sea,) so two things come into play,
the water and separation of other buildings, making my HQ stand out.
Thanks Guys, for the comments.
Always,
Jim Powers

Jim, I'll have to move my company into your HQ, as I've got no more room left to develop around mine (although mine is in the centre of a city).
I hope that clears things up folks.
You are using OTTD. We are talking about TTD Patched.White Rabbit wrote:Here's a screenshot.

HQ again
Mr. Weirdy;
Mine doesn't either, but, my heliport does.
Mr. Raichase, I never hardly put a HQ inside a city. Reason? There are too many
changes in it's development to final status. So if you place a road so that you
connect it to the parking lot, soon it will be in another direction and it doesn't look right.
So, Mr. Weirdy is using OTTD and that's why I can't get his screenie? Ugh!
Always,
Jim Powers
p.s. Here's a screenie of my double tresseled RR lines to Nice.

- High in the mountains this BR 111 is crossing the river while snaking it's way to Nice. It's clips along at about 123MPH, except the 80MPH it must do over the viaduct.

Re: HQ again
You make a good point - perhaps next game, I shall set myself up a nice private HQ by the water .Jim Powers wrote:Mr. Raichase, I never hardly put a HQ inside a city. Reason? There are too many

As to the screenie, I think there is a problem with the ".png" file, rather than a problem with the game. It should display as normal, but it doesn't. Doesn't matter though, as it may have caused more confusion amongst everyone .
One was talking about OTTD, another was talking about TTD (Patch), about the same object . Quite a mess, you will agree? .
Such... majestic... scenery! Nice looking train toop.s. Here's a screenie of my double tresseled RR lines to Nice.

Re: HQ again
For some reason, the actual physical attachment file does not exist, but the database entries do. Something may have gone wrong with the forum just as it was uploaded, I don't know really... if it's reuploaded, it should be OK.Raichase wrote:As to the screenie, I think there is a problem with the ".png" file, rather than a problem with the game.

I'm having such a good time with my 'Fashionable France' game that I've
not got back yet to continuing with my scenario creations. (Sorry about that.):oops:
Here is Paris, of course.

Dear Interested Members;
I was pleasently suprised to find out just how popular my USA scenarios were doing on
Mr. Krtaylor's fine web sitehttp://www.as-st.com/ttd
From his web site alone, the total downloads, as of last Saturday, of my scenarios are as follows;
Northeast Rails has a total download of 878
Virginia Rails has a total download of 741
Mid Central Rails has a total download of 485
Lumber Jack has a total download of 321
Western Pacific Rails has a total download of 311
Jim's New York City has a total download of 128
Extreme Cities has a total download of 118
Industrial Zone has a total download of 109
Northeast Rails Part II has a total download of 95
And, Oil Heaven has a total download of 86
Lumber Jack, Jim's NYC, Extreme Cities, Industrial Zone, NE Rails Part II, & Oil Heaven
all were only placed on his web site just over 2 months. So, this is some pretty
impressive information indeed. Don't you think?

I think word of mouth, and people seeing the quality of your scenarios in other peoples screenies really helped out a lot.
Congratulations Jim, you must be the most downloaded person on TT forums .
I know I look to your scenarios for inspiration when designing my own .
Keep up the good work mate.
Oh, and about your other post? The bit where you said you are having too much fun to work on new scenarios? I wouldn't sweat it, as the main thing is that you enjoy your work. If you have no time to enjoy your own scenarios, why make them? .
Cheers!

A Warm Thank You
Mr. Raichase;
I really want to warmly Thank You for your comments. I'm sure that I

Super Subways II
Interested Members of TTD;
I've just releasted my latest scenario called "Super Subways II"!
"Super Subways II" was taken from an old scenario called 'Large Cities and Subways' I made,
(and never released it in TT-Forums,) even before I knew about Mr. Drexel, Mr. Owen Rudge, etc.,
or The Patch. Anyway, I've added the latest features and did a major 'tweak' job on it .
And it came out exceptionaly well! I recommend you use Mr. Krtaylor's US SET Trains, since it's American.
Here's it's screenie and the scenario
"Super Subways II". Have fun!!:lol:
