Relocation

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear Mr. Drexler;

First of all, I'm sorry I misspelled your name. (I edited it.) Sorry, Sir.
Now, I'll relocate you to a more appropiate NE hilly area. I've never
heard of Ithaca, so, I don't know anything about it. This scenario is not
built for resemblence's sake, rather an artistic approach.
Soon a 'screenie'. Again, thank you, Mr. Josef, for THE PATCH!

(Mr. CeleronXL, thanks for keeping me straight on map details, Ol' Buddy.)

Always,

Continuing with Grandeur Gardens

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TTD Members;

I'll (hopefully) complete my latest and most difficult scenario, "Grandeur Gardens",
by next weekend. Meanwhile, here's a couple of screenies.

Always,
Jim Powers

Dear TTD Friends;

Thanks for the encouragement! I know that "Grandeur Gardens" will be
my best art scenario. Sorry it's taking time, but, I'm about finished.

It's nice to get true opinions on my scenarios so as to build better ones
in the future. I am sorry Mr. SHADOW-XIII that this scenario is
not "your cup o' tea", but you're a good friend that's letting me know
what you like and don't like and I've always valued your views, Sir, thanks.
Now, for those of you who do like this kind of scenarios, I do appreciate
your comments. Thank You, Mr. CeleronXL, Mr. Geo.c Ghost, Mr. Raichase,
Mr. Louie Armstrong, and Mr. Stylesjl

Another Screenie

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TTD Fans;

In my latest scenario "Grandeur Gardens", I used the names of cities
in New York. So, I thought you'd might like to see a few things that I know
New York for. (Since I've only been to NYC at one of their airports.) :)

Remember, this scenario's theme is trucks (and taxis), that's why all the
freeways.

Dammit Jim, stop teasing us! :lol:

No really, I don't have any good scenario I haven't played yet, and Grandeur Gardens will be my salvation. So release it already.

Don't taint the original scenario

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TTD Fans;

Mr. Lord of the Trains in The TTD Patch, said "I´ve noticed a bug in scenario editor
(I think that it is a bug.). I wanted to destroy large amount of roads in one city
and rebuld them in another way. I loaded my savegame into the editor, but after
destroying about 7 houses there was a message that local authorities dont´t allow
me to do this (that was the message which is shown when company rating drops too down).
I saved the game back as a savegame, and started it. Yet,my company rating droped
down while I was destroying buildings, but it was in the editor...

Another story:I wanted to remove an unused food processing plant and I wanted
to save money, so I did it in the scenario editor, and when I reloaded the game,
I´ve noticed that about 30 milions pounds (usual cost for removing industries)
of my cash were gone... So the problem is: when loading a savegame into the editor,
it remembers me as the player and it takes money for everything and company rating
is dropping like in the game (but I didn´t try to erect a new city, I´m affraid it
can do something bad)".

OK. I felt it might just be necessary to put my reply in TT-Forums.

This is not a 'Bug'. The game is set up that way. The way to successful remove
as you wanted, is to NOT play a game from the scenario as it is downloaded. Why?
Because you "taint" the scenario. I've built a lot of scenarios and have had to learn
this the hard way. What do you do? Before I even start a game, I go to a place
in the open water and 'stack' ground and make a quick pyramid, then I save this
under a different name. NOW use this scenario instead of the original.

I also use 'cheat' Money about ($2,000,000) to finance the removal of this 'pyramid',
(and do it back in the editor section). When finished, again, I use 'cheat' Money to
restore my original $200,000. It's also gonna cost you to remove industries,
but, more usually in The Editor.

I hope this helps you, Sir. (And the others who find this to be a problem.) :wink:

Finally, Grandeur Gardens!

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TTD Fans;

Finally, "Grandeur Gardens" has been completed! :shock:
This, of course, should be my most artistic scenario. It's taking me
about 2 months to build.

"Grandeur Gardens" theme is road and
water transportation.
With plenty of expressways, you may use the new 'one way' feature
quite effectively, as you tour New York state city to city, where you'll
see unusual gardens sculptured along the highways and canals.

Why New York? Because I'm helped by, at least two of our most
contributing members, Mr. Patchman and Mr. Krtaylor, who
live there. And............................This is my tribute to them.

Download "Grandeur Gardens" and enjoy!

Please Note: (THE SVO FILE HAS BEEN CORRECTED.)

Another Israeli Member!

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. Death;

Wow, another Israeli TTD Member. I see that you only joined
recently, so WELCOME! We have a whole lot of fun in the super
friendly atmosphere at TT-Forums.net. My company sent me
to Tel Aviv over 9 years ago, where I found a very nice and
lovely Israeli lady. Though I'm not Jewish, I found that I couldn't
live apart from her, so, I married her last year.

I've made a lot of scenarios for TTD and derive real satisfaction
and enjoyment from doing so. If you run into any trouble or problems
with TTD, just ask, and someone will assist you promptly, Sir.
So, have more fun playing The Game!

Jim! Looks awesome! I'm looking forward to testing it, I'm thinking with the UK Renwal Set - all those gardens would look rather nice with a HST running through them :D.

Keep up the good work, as always mate.
