Latest Scenario

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TT-Forums Members;

HAPPY NEW YEARS! :lol:

As a token of my appreciation to all those great TTD fans who are interested in my scenarios,
I thought I'd end the year of 2005 with one final USA scenario called, "Apple Country".

I started tweaking & enhancing "Apple Country" some time ago, when I was doing the USA series
of scenarios in cooperation with Mr. Krtaylor and team's US SET of trains, but, have only now,
this week, completed it. I do this quite a lot (Japan, Ontario, India, etc.) in making scenarios. :wink:

I began "Apple Country" from a well made map called 'Western New York', by Mr. Steve Joyce".
I thank him very much for creating this map. Thank You, Sir.

As "Apple Country" might suggest, there are many farms (Apples) in the "Big Apple" state.
Among other 'tweaks', I've added a complete Underground Subway system connecting
the many, larger cities, as well as connecting highways. Also there are lots of forests and other
industries for your TTD enjoyment. New York is truely a very beautiful State.

Have fun and enjoy upstate New York in "Apple Country"!

Always,
Jim Powers :wink:

Apple Country& vast subway network. This map shows where the subways should be. (Gray squares.) Just remove the double 'roads' & replace with RR track!

Nice Screnerio Mr Powers.
Raichase already updated the list, so I won't bother doing that. :)
I might have a bash at it sometime, I've haven't really played a serious game of TTD in years. :o

Mr. Geo.c Ghost;

Hey, Good Buddy, where's one of your outstanding night scenes? It's also been too long since
I've saw one. You know you're the 'Night Scene" champ.

Mr. Way_2_fun, you are way too kind, but thanks for your kindness, Sir. Members,
like you, are always an inspiration to me.

Mr. Pmhtuk, why shouldn't I keep creating scenarios and stuff, when I have support like yours,
kind Sir.

Mr. Raichase, Thanks again, mr dear Friend. Let's see, that's 2 times this month that you've
had to update the scenario list. Of course thank you, Rai! (BTW, what's "Another
Excellent contribution to keep me up on NYE"?)

Mr. Lakie, you (and soooooooooo many of the other members,) are always ready to help me,
and I do not take this for granted, neither do I deserve your generosity.

And, Mr. Aegir, when I hear from you, well, I'm more than pleased, thank you, Sir.

NOTE: MY COMPLETE SCENARIO LIST is on Page #1, for those who are looking. :wink:

Always,
Jim Powers

A bird's eye view of "Apple Country". See, you simply remove the twin 'roads and tunnels and put in RR tracks. It's easy and so, so much fun to have Subways!

Ah, but look at it from my point of view - Thats two more times I have been able to download a new scenario in that month too. It's about 5 seconds work, pasting the url in then adding the right text to make it work properly, so it's no worry at all.

As to my final comment, I meant it gave me something to do in the long haul of hours before midnight on New Years Eve ;)

Still playing TTD-Squares

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear Members;

I'm still playing 'Four Square Transport Co.' from my scenario "TTD Squares."
For those of you who don't know, this scenario is really a true trainman's scenario,
with a terrific challenge in track layout.

But, I think there's a 'bug' in the last alpha, because I must always do 2 things.
1. I must always use "Cht. allvehicles" so I can have trains, any trains.
2. I must manually renew all vehicles, as my vehicles will not renew themselves, (Planes nor Trains.)
This is quite puzzling to me as that I've not had any problems prior with these features.
Any suggestions? I have windows version, WinXP, and the last Alpha. :?:

Thanks for the answers in advance. :wink:

Always,
Jim Powers
p.s. BTW here's one of many busy junctions.

The bridge next to the sign in bottom left. There's 2 tracks going thru that took a 90 degree turn. Why not length that turn and allow space for an island to bridge to to allow a signal on, or just tunnel those 2 tracks thru. Reduces that length of bridge.

Point Taken

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. ConductorBob;

You are very observant, Sir. Thanks for pointing this out. Below is the more improved
track and shortened bridge. Have you tried "TTD - Squares" yet? I hope so, because
you're definitely interested in trains, it appears.
Thanks again. :wink:

Jim Powers

Year of Game

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. Geo.c Ghost;

I'm almost 2 billion dollars and in the year 1991. However, I've kept the years down to 5 year (i.e. 1940 - 1945) until I've completed the RR track in each state., so, actually I've been playing about 200 years. Here's my company list. :wink:

Rob's Saved Game

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. Rob;

I believe you're playing OTTD? Anyway, it's a heck of a layout.
Mr. ConductorBob might ought to look at it and see where there might be room
for improvement? Good work, my Friend. Can we make more than $4,400,000,000?
That use to be the limit.

Always,
Jim Powers
