Stop signs

Stop signs are used in intersections.

But you'll vote for it.

Choose a shape:

And what is your next step once a shape has been chosen?

Hmm, getting Deja vu vibes here, and not very good ones at that... :|

Go and judge which is most likely to be understood: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_sign
However: what's the suggestion here? There are no priority roads.

The Stop sign shape would be sent to OpenTTD.

I don't think we need a stop sign, but you are free to code a newgrf for it.

While you are at it, you can also make a parameter which sign to use, so people can choose themselves.

@roadsignordeals, if you're going to make a newgrf out of this, you can also supply both depending on game year.

But you're sure you're not the same guy as the other bloke?

I think we do.

I think you are in the wrong thread since trunk OpenTTD does not have traffic lights, but anyway, both a traffic light and a stop sign are displayed as graphic objects, so in both cases you need a to code it in a NewGRF.

I think kamnet means actual working traffic lights and stop signs, where vehicles actually stop.
If you put it in a NewGRF, you get something like what's available in my Dutch Road Furniture.

Pretty useless when there's no real traffic.

Yep, that's why I think he should have posted in "kamnet said in this thread" thread instead ;)

Edit: For those who don't get it, try clicking it (in the original post)

Well, I *DID* post in the right thread, some months back. Just making it known that the OP isn't the first or only person who has inquired about it. While stock OpenTTD may not support it, perhaps if somebody felt like taking up support for the Traffic Lights patch, we could get it into trunk and then possibly create something along the lines of priority roads and stop signs.

And there is no need for this. Report the topic if you think it breaks the rules.

I had hoped the topic would die on it's own, it seems not. Locked.
