PCX is ancient and very difficult to get some standard software which can actually view it, i had to use an online pcx converter to look at some of the sprites from FIRS.

Linux is replete with tools that understand it too. I see why one would want to move to PNG, but not for this reason.

Beautiful! (Not just mine, of course, the new utility ships are wonderful as well!) I also really like the small barge - might give us a way to recreate the Yangtze river traffic with its hundreds of small barges (we just need brown water graphics  )

Andy, I understand that you lost a little interest in this project, by reading some of your newest posts...

But please don't give up on this project...

Your work is brilliant, and people like me (And I believe there are many similar to me on this forum), love your work, and it's work like your's that keeps us so much addicted to TTD...

FISH is what I always dreamed to have in TTD, more ships and not just more ships, ships that do make a difference in game play, and make it even more fun...

So thank you for all your work :)

I was demotivated, but then Emperor Jake contributed a nice catamaran, and that spurred on a release of 0.9.2

The last few releases of FISH have been inspired by awesome graphics contributed by others (mostly DanMacK) ;)

I do prefer working collaboratively with one or two other people who can draw or code nicely :D

Hi!
Tell me please, somebody going in the future to create piers, where each vessel has its own special place? Ships are just wonderful, but if more than one and when they are loaded at the berth, they lose their individuality ... a pity ...

sorry, I used Google - translator of Ukrainian

Piers are a different thing, they're not vehicles, they're infrastructure. However, take a look at this for example:

A simple solution which I have used to excellent advantage ... I build harbours where each pier is it's own station and has it's own dock. Then I give each of my ships orders where each ship is assigned to a different pier. 8)

Thank you. :) Sometimes I use this method, but it is not always appropriate and rational. I want harmony  ... I will patiently wait until this infrastructure will be in our collection grf. Water transport unjustly deprived in this area

That's not something which (currently) can be done by newgrfs. It needs changes to OpenTTD's source code. Yes, such thing is on the list of desirable features, albeit noone did yet implement it. Mostly it would make sense to introduce it somewhat jointly with ships which don't collide anymore.

Andy, sorry for bumping this but I've found a small "glitch".

Normal and zoomed view attached. Same ship at the same moment.

Not Andy's fault. Update your OTTD nightly to something newer than r23343.

That's not much of a problem, don't worry about it. :D

Hiya!

First of all, great work! I use these ships a lot!

Is it maybe possible to make a version with normal colored hulls (greytoned or black) and not companycolored hulls? That way the ships would look even better in my opinion.
