FIRS currently fixes 50% of this problem: you can stop industries closing.Kjell Bjarne wrote:But there was always one thing that bothers me. Industries closes and new were found
The 'prevent industries opening' parameter is not implemented yet, but will be. It's designed for scenarios and should solve what you describe. Meanwhile, enjoy ECS

Lol, also andy, Ive started on this FIRS extension, do you mind if i use the graphics you already have drawn for the extension, such as the incinerator?
Re: FIRS Industry Replacement Set - Development & Translatio
go to difficulty settings, set "industry density: none"Leanden wrote:When can we see that implemented?

As long as you comply with GPL, it's fineLeanden wrote:do you mind if i use the graphics you already have drawn for the extension, such as the incinerator?

Re: FIRS Industry Replacement Set - Development & Translatio
As already stated, you cant do that on a scenario editor.Eddi wrote:go to difficutly settings, set "industry density: none"Leanden wrote:When can we see that implemented?

Re: FIRS Industry Replacement Set - Development & Translatio
you can't(*) change GRFs or parameters in the scenario editor either.Leanden wrote:As already stated, you cant do that on a scenario editor.Eddi wrote:go to difficutly settings, set "industry density: none"Leanden wrote:When can we see that implemented?
(*) At least you strongly shouldn't, as you cannot possibly judge the consequences.
Re: FIRS Industry Replacement Set - Development & Translatio
if you set it to none you get no industries which is also useless.
Re: FIRS Industry Replacement Set - Development & Translatio
i seriously need to tell you about creating industries in the scenario editor, or changing the cost of funding industries to 0?!?

Got a little problem here. Using NARS2 with the latest nightly (r1994) results in regearable locomotives not being able to regear and they hold recyclables

Known issue, thanks. Will get fixed, but FIRS development is currently on hold.NekoMaster wrote:Got a little problem here. Using NARS2 with the latest nightly (r1994) results in regearable locomotives not being able to regear and they hold recyclables

Re: FIRS Industry Replacement Set - Development & Translatio
Hi!
I'd like to ask how up to date this page is? I need the FIRS caro IDs, but as I see there is a few reserved row, which I think is in use now. Can you write these missing and the incorrect ones?
Thanks!

You can be sure that the source code is 100% up to date. At any time: http://dev.openttdcoop.org/projects/fir ... .pnfo#L147
BUT: if you code vehicles DO NOT use (those) cargo bits. Use a cargo translation table and stop worrying about how cargo bits are used in other sets, define them yourself.

Re: FIRS Industry Replacement Set - Development & Translatio
Cargo IDs in FIRS are not fixed until it reaches version 1.0.0. There is also a bug with recyclables using the ID reserved NARS regearing cargo, so at least that one is bound to change.
If you are planning a vehicle set IMO it is better to not rely on IDs and use cargo labels and classes instead. They are more flexible and changes in FIRS source code will not affect vehicle sets that use them (unless the cargo classes themselves change, but I don't think any further changes in that direction are planned). Cargo labels and classes for FIRS cargos are specified here: http://wiki.ttdpatch.net/tiki-index.php?page=CargoTypes
If you are planning an addon for FIRS or something else that defines cargos, IIRC FIRS reserves some cargo IDs for this purpose. I'm not sure which ones, though.

Thanks for the answers!
I'm planning to do the cargo support for my truck set.
I'll watch over these pages.

New English translation to fix some minor issues such as idioms:
Production "steps up" if two or more cargos are delivered...
-> Production "increases" if two or more cargoes are delivered...

I wonder if English translations are accepted, given that Andy is British and all...
