Do you hate fun? Does convenience make you want to tear every hair off your head? Do you want to have such a horrible experience, you can laugh about it?
Here's the suggestion: The Living Hell Patch!
Boats phasing through each other? So unrealistic! They should explode upon contact, sinking them both!
Cars can't run forever without fuel. So they should have to visit a fuel station frequently, stopping absolutely everything to do so!
Airplanes are expensive to buy and operate, so they should cost hundreds of millions to purchase!
And those trains!? If you don't have a buffer grf, they're screwed, flying off the tracks destroying everything you love and care for!
And finally, you should be careful about leaving any fuel trucks on a level crossing, because if it's in a city, the nuclear detonation will destroy EVERY SINGLE BUILDING!

The local authorities are complete totalitarian dictatorships. You're FORBIDDEN from building ANYTHING, EVER.
Trying to bribe them will get you JAILED for many, MANY years. During which time you will be unable to build ANYTHING, ANYWHERE.
Planting trees will get you JAILED for many, MANY years for polluting the pristine countryside with weeds and blocking the dictators view. During which time you will be unable to build ANYTHING, ANYWHERE.
"Fast Forward" is disabled for the duration of any jail sentence, and any attempt to use it will increase your sentence.
Any repeat of these grave offences will see you taken out and SHOT, whereupon the game will end immediately and your computer will crash, violently, toasting your processor and trashing your hard drive.

(Who can guess which game "features" I REALLY REALLY hate?)

You have to manually manage every vehicle in your network. In order to not make it absolutely impossible to play openttd, it is now a turn based game.

If a feature like that ever gets implemented, I hope the developers will have the good sense to make it switchoffable, or even better, switched off by default.

Don't worry, this one is just for fun. In fact, a few of the ideas could inspire some new difficulty options.
For example, if a vehicle crashes, whatever passengers are lost on board will directly affect the cities or towns they're from directly by lowering the population and causing the area to shrink.
And I do think that ships should have a (very low) chance of sinking. I'm actually going to be making a new topic to ask about any ideas that would increase difficulty or realism, as well as any good ideas. As I said, it's mostly just for fun!
You have any ideas?

Edit: Actually, instead of the towns or cities shrinking, it should drastically affect the amount of passengers and cargo that uses your stations in that area.
