All we need is some objects to go around the course.

This the horse race course I made back in June 2016 for the Industry set.

Seeing if I can design a object set from it. The grand stand might go good with some sporting things as well, but it not same scale as the seats I made today.

Probably make the race track something like this, but also have the pieces so you can make how you want maybe like the original like at top of page.

Will make a few odd pieces so can have winning post where you like and maybe you would like a starting barrier in another location.

Hope to make all the pieces 1x1 and some 2x1 size tiles then you join it together like a jigsaw puzzle. You be able to make the track longer.

There are 4 object sets in this file ..

1. Is a 2x2 tile for the corners.
2. Is a 2x2 tile with corners and the junctions for the starting gates.
3. Is same as 2 except for those who race in opposite direction 9For those who race away from the winning post instead of towards is )
4. Is a multi-select Menu with 8 items.
* 1st are all plan straight pieces.
* 2nd is the horses .. there are 2 tiles for each direction and 3 horses on each tile.
* 3rd is the starting barriers (gates) for 6 horses.
* 4th are the winning posts.

This file is a test file .. hope add a few more pieces to the horse racing such as a grand stand. When happy with it will transfer it to AuzTownObjects.

I've transferred the horse track and some grandstands to AuzTownObjects.

I hoping this will be the last objects I will add to AuzTownObjects as it almost full. ( I left a 24 spare IDs just in case they be needed at a later date).

I intend to start a new set called AuzTownObjectsPart2 which will have any additions for the town set.

The grandstands is a multi-select menu with 4 items .. it designed to go with any sporting field. Does not have to be used with the horse racing.
1st is Grandstands facing South-West.
2nd is Grandstands facing South-East. (The 3 grandstands in image together)
3rd is 2 grands stands facing SW and 2 facing SE. (The grandstand on its own)
4th is people .. lots of people Adult size so look like a crowd at any sporting event.

Looking at Car racing now.

These road graphics provided by Quast65 .. I added the starting grids, finish lines and used Quast65's barriers for some corners and T-Junctions.

Would you make a car race track in your games? If so let me know and then I will continue with it and will add some cars, pit stops and a few other objects to it.

Could move or copy all the other sporting things from AuzTownObjects to the new set.

Yeh.. wouldn't hurt. Always better to give more control over load orders to better organise. Not sure its worth an object header what do you guys think?

Does this give you the pitts?

I made some pitt lanes and made a few adjustments to seating and grand stands.

The one on left is using the object roads and the one on the right is using one of RattRoads roads with some RVs.

Only made the pitt lanes for the direction shown in image so far. Hope next day or 2 make the other direction.

This has used 24 IDs in the object set so far and when I make the other direction is will use another 24 .. and all that is without any cars and building to go in the pitt lanes.

Tell you more when I made more.

Are you a car racing fan?

Maybe this set will interest you.

These car racing tracks have both object roads and actual roads. I not sure if to have both or just one of them.

So will let you test what I done so far and see what you think.

A few posts above are some images of object roads.

This image is actual roads so you can race what ever you like .. the main track is called "Race Track" and it has no speed limit so can drive as fast as the vehicle you choose will allow.

The other road is called "Pit Lanes" .. because it is for vehicle to go to be be services it has a speed of 25 mph/ 40 km/h.

When you first load this set go to "Set Parameters" and you can change if you want mph or kmh. also you can turn off the speed limit to the Pit Lanes if wish.

The game menu has 2 sections:

Auz: Sports Race Tracks .. it has the object roads and the garage buildings.
Auz: Sports Spectators .. it has the seating, grand stands, Spectators, starting grids and finishing line.

So please give it a try and let me know if like and if you have idea for additions to it.

It only has the Car Racing at the moment. Hope add more sporting events to this eventually.

We have horse racing, car racing but maybe you don\t have a horse or a race car? Well lets race on foot (shanks pony).

Making a arthritics track and hope some field events. Still in drawing stage at moment and it a bit rough on the corners, but think it will do.

Looking at adding some lighting as well. The lights hope to make them so that can be places around any of the sporting fields.

Track/field - infield could use some more areas. In the US, it's common for there to be high jump/pole vault on one end, shotput/discus on the other, long jump on one of the sides.

Also common in US schools, especially in secondary and smaller post-secondary schools, is to have the infield used for gridiron/American football, soccer/futbol, lacrosse or field hockey. If you can animate them by season: track & field in the spring, soccer or lacrosse in summer, football or soccer in fall, idle in winter. There's some overlaps but that would be too hard to code.

That might be a good idea .. as these 2 road might override some roads players have loaded. I have these set to load in sort order 64 and 65 to try put them at the bottom of their lists.

If no one objects will separate them with next release.

I do intend to put other sporting things in the middle. The track needs to be adjusted a little as it is .. it's width is 3 tiles plus 2 pixels and its length is 5 tiles plus 10 pixels long.

Got several choices to adjust it:
* Make it a 3 x 5 tile size
* make it a 4 x 6
* make it as a jigsaw puzzle style like the horse racing track so players can put there own choice of sporting field in the middle. In middle you be able to have a 2 x 2 or a 2 x 3 area.

I might be called Auz Sports Objects, but other countries be able to use it as well . Looking at images on internet of athletic fields there is a good mixture of styles. Some with other athletic events inside the track and many with other sport fields.

I been making some adjustments to the track so hope can be used how ever a player wants.

The yellow and green squares are what I use as a guide they will be removed when I code these.
I plan to make it like a jig saw puzzle. They be separate pieces so you can make the track as short or as long as want.

The corners be 2x2 and the straights will be 1x1 piece.

I will put the 100 meter track far side so we can place the grand stands in that area.

The center 2x3 area will be left blank. I hope to see what other athletic fields I can place in here and also other sporting grounds.

The soccer field from City Objects fits there nicely.
