Thanks man, You have told me a very good piece of information, I am going to investigate the power/tractive effort to see if I can solve it, Surely the solution is to increase the engine HP.
Thank YOU for the quick fix

EDIT: just checked the new set out - HP value appears about doubled but tractive effort shows the same in trucks description - 15kN only. While faster than 1.0 version, it is still accelerating visibly slower than other sets (comparing vs Czech and Timberwolf sets). Playing with the "realistic acceleration on" and slope steepness of 7%.
And looking forward to other sets...like cargo ships ?
I'm not sure if already created trucks are modified, I think, I'm not sure, that you have to create new trucks from scratch to see the changes.
I'm going to check it anyway, the point is that these little trucks usually load no more than 5 tons in real life (with 100 hp or 120 hp) for game propouses I'm making them load 40 tons, two options: I Raise HP to a ridiculously high number (the original Openttd ones i think have 400 hp) or lower the cargo capacity.
My next plans are trains, trains, trains

but I plan at some point to make at least 1 single cargo ship (that is refitable to all types of cargo) so that at least 32 bpp players have a way to transport cargo .
I have also tested with new trucks as well as in a new game. What would perhaps help would just increasing the tractive effort to 25-30kN i.e. not to crazy but would definitely help with acceleration and uphill. Timberwolf set usually uses similar values i.e. 300-400HP and 25-35 kN and it does work pretty well.
Now as for capacity - well, I love those longer trucks with 44 mail, but smaller ones are actually tad small, with just 18, it makes it not that useful, other than for tiniest industries/towns. Perhaps one could even increase it to 25 at least ? Maybe even the longer ones could be increased to 60, which would provide a solid choice for some small/medium routes, without resorting to semi-trucks (yet)?
Speaking of semi trucks - any chance of increasing the capacity of the dedicated wood/logs/timber ones ? They do look gorgeous but only have 44 capacity...the big trucks can be refitted to those cargos but without the "woody" graphics sadly.
Trains you say? Aaach yes, forgot it's a train game xD Certainly looking forward to that as well

But let's not forget those pesky ships....so that the passengers ferries won't feel oppressed by all the cargo pixelation around xD
