They just don't have all stages available. So they don't grow as the original ones, if I remember well.

Here's the October 2007 update that adds some stages to the trees as well as snow :) Its hard to find on the forums but its around (If anyone objects just PM me and will remove from this post):

As to the harbour stuff, you are better off using the newer ISR (Industrial Stations Renewal) set which is currently at version 0.8.0 and contains all the harbour stuff plus much more

Here:

http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?p=732942#p732942

You will have to start a new game after installing ISR as the IDs for many tiles have changed

Hope that helps

Jacob

The latest version (October 2007) of SAC's trees as updated by George no longer exists on these forums but can be found on SAC's forums. I do not believe anyone will object to me linking to the post that contains the download on that forum from within a post on this forum. If there is such an objection then a moderator can either remove the link or PM me and I will remove the link posthaste. The file name in question is treesw.rar.

You do realise that one needs to register over there in order to view something?

I had not realized that until I just checked it out and you are correct. I logged out of SAC's forum and I could not view it again until I logged back in. The real oddity in this is that if you look at the daily user list on SAC's forum it counts 'guests'. How can one be a 'guest' on a forum if you have to register and login in order to view it thereby negating your status as a 'guest'?

Agreed especially after 30 years when the map is covered with them, i wish the tree life/death cycle would be fixed to allow a consistently pretty game, but SAC and Georges work makes trees a lot prettier and bearable for the time that they are not hidden from view with transparency options :D

I switch them off, and turn them back on when I just watch my game for the pleisure of the eyes (for example when I let the camera follow a train and sit back to admire my work =D )
I am little, ugly, and nasty. How do you do?

Well, I don't use any tree GRF's, so to me, they are just ugly.
