I tried loading ISR r203 in TTDPatch 2.6 alpha 0 r2366 and got told that it's designed for OpenTTD. What is the last version designed for TTDPatch? Should I change the title of this thread to indicate that the set is not universal?

The latest release version (v0.8.2) is compatible with TTDPatch, so currently ISR is universal. No need to change the thread title for now.

When v0.9.0 is released it will not be TTDPatch compatible. I had to take this decision in order to use the latest GRF developments that are only available in OpenTTD.

But even so, I don’t intend to forget TTDPatch completely. I will ensure v0.8.2 remains available for download. If any serious bugs are found in v0.8.2, I will release further versions in the v0.8.x series for TTDPatch players.

Actually it's r65, r66 is the first non-compatible version.

Highlights of changes for v0.9.0 (for full details see the changelog ):
  • Paper loading station added.
    Fruit loading station added.
    Rubber loading station added.
    Ground level goods station added.
Simplified Chinese and Scottish Gaelic translations added.
Platform with forklift showing various cargos added in high platform and ground level platform versions.
Paper platforms and non-track tile added.
Fruit platforms and non-track tile added.
Cargo re-randomisation added for all stations and tiles showing cargo.
All buildings are now snowline aware.
All office types are now available for both high and low platforms.
Support for cereals and oil seed cargos added.

    Ground overlay texture improved.
    Various minor bugs fixed.

ISR v0.9.0 requires OpenTTD 1.2.0 or later.
ISR v0.9.0 does not support TTDPatch. TTDPatch players should continue to use ISR v0.8.2.

Note: ISR v0.9.0 is incompatible with savegames made with previous versions.

It is available for download here. It is also available from BaNaNaS and the OpenTTD in-game content downloader.

Supports ECS cargoes but does it support FIRS?

FIRS cargoes support was added in version 0.82, and it previously supported some ECS cargoes. This version specifically adds support for the ECS cereals and oil seeds cargoes.

Thanks for your comments (and emoticons  ) everyone.
Eddi wrote:it's worded a bit ambiguously
Sorry for any ambiguity. But that is only a list of changes for v0.9.0.

So to be clear: ISR has supported (most) ECS cargoes since v0.6.0. Support for FIRS cargoes was added at v0.8.2.

Edit: I've changed the wording of my previous post to make it less ambiguous.

I love the ISR stations, and the freight station is a great improvement over the old "Goods Stations" which, frankly, tended to be uninteresting.

I do have a suggestion for improvement. I would like to add eyecandy warehouses to the freight stations, non track tiles. The valuables stations (Which I feel should be called "High Security Stations") would mostly fit the bill, except that they don't line up with the high level platform buildings, as shown in the picture.

I used a variety of tiles to illustrate this. You see it mostly with the roofs not lining up, which looks bad to me.

Something that happened... I don't know if that's a mistake I made...

I had a game with 0.8.2 (having developer mode on) and I've changed the GRF with the 0.9.0 and it crashed. I know all speeches about changing GRFs and crashes so don't start that, I just want you to know that there is some kind of compatibility problem.

Thanks for answering that kamnet.

I agree "High Security Stations" would be better, I will consider changing this.
Railwaymodeler wrote:You see it mostly with the roofs not lining up, which looks bad to me.
Yes I am aware of this problem. I did ensure that the roofs of the cross-track "unloaders" line up, so you can use the valuables non-tack tiles as shown below...

It might be possible to have an additional variation of the valuables shed, with roofs that align with the freight station roofs. These could be used automatically if a valuables shed is built next to a freight station.

There is yet another problem with AI interaction - instead of steel mill station default one is constructed. Would it be useful to make debugging AI that builds station for every cargo to catch problems like this?
