In this sentence, the "too" doesn't make sense, as the primary industries never close, therefor the secondary industries are not closing as well as some other types of industries.

It does if you think of normal secondary industries and FIRS secundary industries and as you said fails to make sense when you compare it to primary industries. So in the end I didn't change it in Ducth (I never changed English to begin with).

Nah, they weren't silly. Some strings are difficult to translate in only a few words. English is often easier to summarise "items".

What's the point with outdated lines? I miss the cue how to "fix" them?

They are false positives.

The English strings were changed after they were translated, but the Dutch translation seems fine for both kinds of wood :)
However, in the translation file you cannot express "I checked the translation against the latest English changes, and they are correct". As a result you cannot make these out-of-date notions go away.

(Actually, you can if you cheat by making a fake change, like adding or removing a space before the colon.)

I'm just curious. In 0.4.0 you changed "General Store" to "Store", in-between 0.6.4 and 0.7.0 you removed "Store" and introduced "Food Market" and "Hardware Store", and now you've reverted back to "General Store". Any particular reason why you've come back around to where you started?

Differing cargo acceptance. The original General Store evolved, then split to two industries as new cargos were added.

The re-introduced version is used in the Basic economies, where fewer cargos are available, and consolidating to a single industry cuts down the total number of industries, which is desirable in Basic economies.

Ahh, makes a lot of sense! So are the Food Market and Hardware Store now only in "Everything" economy?

Currently yes. They will also appear in some of the larger economies in future.

Economies will introduce a lot of small variations which are hard to understand from the changelog alone (they are also add variety to gameplay, increasing fun) ;)

FIRS 0.8.0 introduced construction sprites for most industries. But they looked stupid at Fishing Harbour.

That's fixed. Fewer machines, but on the other hand, no mud stuck on top of sea, with glitches due to missing ground tiles. Swing, roundabout. ;)

Industry funding cost parameter: yes or no? (0.25x, 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 4x)

It's not as obvious as just 'yes'.

Parameter = thing that can go wrong; thing to forget to set when setting up game, thing that has to be maintained and translated.

Also industry cost can be set with base cost mod grf, which is one convenient place to set all cost parameters, instead of doing it in the parameter gui for grf.

Err, doesn't the base cost mod grf still use the parameter GUI? ?(

Yes, but you can have cost set there for everything, instead of the need to set it on each GRF separately...

I'd remove it. As long as OTTD "economy" "works" the way it works I don't see much difference between 0.5 and 50x anyways ^^

i agree, as long as you don't have a clear idea what to "balance" the costs against, a parameter does not make a lot of sense.

Surely if it defaults to 1 it is no worse for the player? If I forget it when setting up a game, I get what I would have got if it never existed.

Here's the Dutch although I believe someone already edited it. I fixed one entry for fruit en groente that I missed to groente en fruit.
