No Power status for monorail trains

I'm running V1.10.2 and built an urban monorail network serving several cities. Everything worked fine until all the trains stopped with a status of "No Power". Ordinary trains still run without any problems but the monorail trains just sit there no matter what I try. Has anyone else had this issue?
