Using FIRS

Post by kittysoman2013 »

I've just started using FIRS to see what it's like and how different it is from the base.
Don't know if I'm missing something, but are there any train/freight car sets that I should use with this?
I'm asking because I've noticed that the descriptions of the freight cars do not match when you select items in the depot menu for new vehicles.
Also, it would appear that some of the ones needed to start a coal connection are not yet available - ie can't see anything that will transport metal.

I would like to continue using FIRS, so any help is appreciated.
I should also note that I'm a relative beginner with OTTD.

Soman.

Pretty much any NewGRF with trains will work.

Some suggestions that are very close to the original vehicles (only choose one):
  • OpenGFX+ Trains
  • Old wagons with new cargos
  • Original vehicles cargo set
Remember that you can't add a NewGRF to a game you already started, you need to start over to add the NewGRF with vehicles too.
