They all seem to be very alike, with fairly similar stats.andythenorth wrote:Loads of American freight interurbans if you're running short
I've seen some, great work! The difference is that we're replicating IRL trams here, a bit tougher job...andythenorth wrote:some will be in Road Hog as trams

surely Voyager could be a good grave digger, if he decide overshadowing heqsAndy wrote:HEQS is dead anyway
Isn't in the end Road Hog the successor of HEQS?romazoon wrote:surely Voyager could be a good grave digger, if he decide overshadowing heqsAndy wrote:HEQS is dead anyway
We'll see. Patience, patience.Digitalfox wrote: 2cc Road vehicles set
Don't see why overlap would be a problem, 2 different set's and more choice is always a win win!Voyager One wrote:OK, before this HEQS/Road Hog/other discussion goes any further...![]()
This tramset will probably have to overlap HEQS trams a bit.

oh !Snail wrote: it's standard gauge rolling stock

I agree, a tram is a tram regardless of its gauge. After all, to give another example, the trams in Toronto are broad gaugesupermop wrote:romazoon wrote:...is that disqualifying it for the tram set ??
I don't see why - the Melbourne trams are all standard gauge...
I should explain - there are simply not enough cargo trams to focus on city cargoes only. I've researched all I could and we're stuck with huuuge timeframe gaps.Voyager One wrote:This tramset will probably have to overlap HEQS trams a bit.
Yep!kamnet wrote:Don't worry, L'Arpajonnais is most definitely a tram.

I'll take a look.romazoon wrote:would it be possible to add a detail to l'arpajonnais' box wagon ? on the couple photo were it s carrying freight, the box wagon have a sort of opening on the roof
Honestly, this kind of mixing wagons complicates things templating-wise and code-wise but I'll take a look also. Several other trams could be done this way.romazoon wrote:and i have a small request...it would be that l'arpajonnais have a mix of box and hopper wagon...just like on some of the photos...
Not *that* realistic. I'm not really into that much realism.romazoon wrote:but well you are drawing a realistic set
Trams must have a fixed consist, all articulated parts are created on purchase and cannot be added/removed, they can only be having certain properties adjusted by callbacks.you can't use this set to buy an engine and then buy wagons you want, you must buy an engine with its wagons. I'm not really keen to change this but we'll see.
This would have to be purely visual, carrying multiple cargos on one RV is not really possible. (unless you have different vehicles for every cargo that can be carried, and then on each of those vehicles define refit subtypes for every combination of second cargo. )and i have a small request...it would be that l'arpajonnais have a mix of box and hopper wagon...just like on some of the photos...
Older cargo trams were actually more alike trains - an engine and as many wagons as the service required. Still, I'd really like to avoid this variant.Eddy Arfik wrote:Trams must have a fixed consist, all articulated parts are created on purchase and cannot be added/removed
And this "multiple cargoes" thing would be another consequence of having the option to buy engines and wagons separately. And as I've said... avoiding please...Eddy Arfik wrote:This would have to be purely visual, carrying multiple cargos on one RV is not really possible.
Realistically yes, but my point was the way it is coded now with fixed consists is the only way it can be done, it's only possible to buy engines and wagons seperately for trains, the game code doesn't support variable consists for trams without resorting to horrible, buggy hacks.Older cargo trams were actually more alike trains - an engine and as many wagons as the service required. Still, I'd really like to avoid this variant.
