Sure, why not? It might wait a while to be coded though.

Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.8.0 available!)
ISR v0.8 uses 113 station IDs and about 3,000 active sprites. Right ?
To avoid standing on each others toes, or to keep the Canadian Stations Set MK II and ISR compatible with each other. Are there any plans to expand ISR, i.e. using more station IDs ? The active sprite count shouldn't pose a problem.
In comparison, the Canadian Stations Set MK II uses currently 72 station IDs and about 3,500 active sprites. The number of station IDs will likely reach 80+ due to the problem with rail type mapping.

Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.8.0 available!)
Would it be possible to have a 'waypoint' tile that covers more than one track? Im trying to build a station that serves multiple industries & would like to send the trains to specific platforms within the station. I know there are the standard waypoints & that you can use standard stations as alternate way points but i would like to be able to have them inside the station lay-out, not just on the edges or confined to single lines.

use adjacent stations, that serves the purpose, unfortunately both TTDPatch and OpenTTD don't have the ability to do as you asked: Waypoints are waypoints. stations are stations, they have their own code.
Otherwise, draw a industrial style waypoint yourself and get somebody to code it.

Ah ok, i'll give the sdjacent stations a go.
This is what I was attempting, just that waypoints reduce you to having 1 track width at points.

Please, don't scale down the screenshots, because They loose quality, and the size of the file becomes huge.synyster31 wrote:Ah ok, i'll give the sdjacent stations a go.

Sorry if my english is too poor, I want learn it, but it isn't too easy.

Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.8.0 available!)
Is there any chance we could get it so that only tiles related to wood stations can supply wood
Only tiles related to coal mines can supply coal.
Only tiles related to fruit plantations can supply fruit
Only tiles related to oil refineries accept oil, supply goods
And then a bunch of interchangeable tiles or universal tiles. This would force the player to build nice stations
Is this at all possible?
Also here's an idea: Is it possible to make it so that whole stations are dragdrop sim city style and that the game figures out what you want using an AI. So you say drag drop industrial station next to a lumber mill and the AI builds a nice lumber station based on the shape of the tiles. I'd imagine you'd first define where you want the rails and their orientation and then define its shape

It's general code relating to the game's core AFAIK, Try suggesting it for OpenTTD, TTDPatch it might not be so easy to implement for.ever wrote:Is there any chance we could get it so that only tiles related to wood stations can supply wood

An AI could be developed, but it will be very complicated, again only OpenTTD could implement this AFAIKAlso here's an idea: Is it possible to make it so that whole stations are dragdrop sim city style and that the game figures out what you want using an AI. Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.8.0 available!)
We did have them right at the start of the project, we changed them to the current to make them fit in with the canadian stations I think. I'm sure they could be put back and changed via a parameter.Railwaymodeler wrote:US/Canadian bumpers for industrial usage are much lighter built. Basically many railroads took old rail and formed them into a bumper, or they used a pair of crossties over the rails.
The occasional look back at your past can teach you a great many things...
Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.8.0 available!)
Where both types were in use in the real world, perhaps they could simply be put back as an additional bumper choice in the menu with the player choosing the one most appropriate to a location.m3henry wrote:We did have them right at the start of the project, we changed them to the current to make them fit in with the canadian stations I think. Close to what I was interested in, but no ciger, M3henry.
Have a look at this link:

Those bumpers are pretty common in North America, probably because they work and are easy to build- some old cut up rail works to make them.

Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.8.0 available!)
Hello, we like to clean up the #openttdcoop NewGRF package. Mainly this means removing BaNaNaS newgrfs. ISR is one of those GRFs which is available from the content service. A indispensable feature is that we can load all archive games since we use newgrfs (around 3 years). But that would break, if we remove ISR from the package as we have there also the incompatible pre 0.8 versions.
Might it be possible, you do also upload the old versions to bananas, those wouldn't be available for usual downloads, just on request for "old" saves (md5sum is needed). The following Versions are needed:
ec02595e5fee45ad829cc08eac7b9336 4A 43 00 02 z_obsolete/indstatr/indstatrw_6.grf (0.3.2)
d4317461e1cfa117d5b64c74f7cbd9c5 4A 43 00 02 z_obsolete/indstatr/indstatrw_7.0.grf (0.6.0)
586499b6b66a461d0cb653b46fcb1433 4A 43 00 02 z_obsolete/indstatr/indstatrw_7.2.grf (0.7.1)
If you won't upload it, we hardly can't remove the grf from our pack, as else someone who downloads our pack might use the old versions instead the new one from bananas. I would upload it self, but aren't allowed because of rule #1. Maybe you could also leave a message here or at #openttd, that you allow me to upload the old versions.
Greets and thanks
Ammler

A simple question:
Why there is a catwalk (what it means, and why the bige, golden cat)?

I don't archive old versions. You might find them somewhere in the backfiles of this thread.

Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.8.0 available!)
We do have all versions I listed (and some more) but we would like them on bananas, so we can remvoe them from the coop pack.krtaylor wrote:I don't archive old versions.
