We drive on the correct side and you drive on the wrong side
There are some American roads in my road sets.
When start OpenTTD ..
* go to NewGRF Settings
* select the road file
* go to Set Parameters
* here you can choose Road Style. Australian/Europe or American.

I was hoping to work on my road set last weekend, but got side roaded again doing other things instead.

I know! We've only been driving like this for about 80 years. We also drove on the left side.
But is it the same as people arguing which is better, Canon or Nikon? MacIntosh or PC?

Given there's a game setting that dictates which side of the road vehicles drive on, wouldn't it be better to have your road set detect that and adjust automatically, rather than require the user to change it.

Correct, it is the same.
I say Canon, and PC's (especially if they run Linux instead of Windows....) are better.

I finished the red brick slope aware for Parks and Cities.

Next I do is the grey bricks which will take a few days or more to do. After that see if I can make the taller brick and metal fences slope aware.

Another could be "Exhibition". Then, for example, the "Sports Complex" or the entrance gates to tracks such as Formula One, very popular in Europe, or entertainment areas such as "Legoland", the "Prater" in the city of Vienna.

Sports and Car racing could be good as we have those objects. Anything else we choose need to have objects that can be used with the signs.

See if I can do the Sport and Car racing signs in time to use on the weekend. None will be done to day as I about to walk out the door and go for some train riding.

Some good choices there and we already have majority of objects to for them. Funfair and Fairground .. maybe these could be called Show Ground as that what they called in towns and cities here where they have Fairs.

Shall see what I can get down tomorrow and have them ready for the weekend.

With the ideas of signage for the entry to Military and over places .. got me into making a few more buildings that can be used with military, University, Hospitals, schools and other places. Besides signage no good if we don't have the objects.

In this image the red and grey brick building is based on a building at Newcastle University, NSW, Australia,
The other is based on military barracks I seen but I altered the roof and the patios.

I hope to do a few more so that the different signs can be used.

I did do the following signs (but when tested I had put them on the wrong template). All the signs have a vert slight overlap with the post at each end so don't fit on a normal tile.
Hospital, School, Sports Ground and Motor Racing. I tried to do a University sign had has too many letters in the name. It fails to fit by 1 letter.

I hope to have new game files to upload for Military and Fence Add Ons by Saturday morning.

Finally remembered to fix, but took me longer then normal as kept making silly mistakes.

Some players not like the idea of the military adding to the game so been thinking to also place copies of the buildings and flags in AuzTownObjectsAddOns so they can be used more.

Some of those buildings will see if I can make some corner pieces for them so can have L shaped.

I built a military barracks in the city using the Military set.

I like seeing how your using what I made as gives me some ideas. A photo I have of my daughter doing military training shows her under shelter similar to what I did for the vehicles. The shelter she under also has a basketball court in it. So hope to see if can make these shelters at a later date and put the people under.

Thank you for the recognition. I have been playing this game for many years. I took a break for a few years, but I'm back and it's my favorite game.
I can understand someone not wanting an army in their game. So it will be good if the items used in the Military set are also used in another non-military set.

One more thing occurred to me. If I want to fence a piece of land through which, for example, a stream flows, is there a way to ensure that the water also flows under the fence? Thanks for the reply. And I wish you a lot of fun creating more objects. And of course thank you because it makes our game more fun.

Would it be possible to have these two buildings from Auz Town Object in yellow color similar to yellow fence? Just another possible building for staff/club in a military base.

Yes that can be done to all fences by me just adding a bit to the code.

Sample: (Only did the security fence and the cream brick fences so far .. as got not time to do the others just yet as I have a train to catch soon).
