Making some object water pipes for the novelty of the game.

In process of making a single pipe like in this image.

But like to make a set with 3 pipes but not sure which design to use. So asking you for suggestions.

Left has the pipes close together.
Middle a slight gap between them.
Right gap a bit wider.

Which one do you like?

That photo looks good .. make me wonder when I get chance I should update the dams I did many many years ago when I still learning graphics (some was stolen from kamnet).
Just if I make high dam walls, how to make high water to go behind them?

I laid those 3 pipe images side by side to give idea what they look like to have 6 pipes like in photo.

This is where I up to with the single pipe (once I get this completed will work on the extra pipes). You can pump water out of or into a lake.

Also tried how they go bridging over the top of 2 roads .. but unfortunately as can be seen here the far side glitches with vehicles. So wonder if worth keeping these in the set. It might be ok if a road or rail is following a river. To overcome the pies crossing roads and rails .. I did a pipe to look like it going underground, or you can bridge the road over the pipes.

What happening with the electricity wires?

Having problems aligning the wires when poles are parallel to each other. Think of just leave the wires out all together like I did for the object ones. So it is moved down my list of things to do while I decide what to do next with it,

Decisions .. what water pipe design to do next .. received 2 PMs and one message in this topic what 3 water pipe design I should make .. 1 PM liked the left and middle one, other PM middle and right one and here in topics like the right one.

The pipes be nice coming from a dam to a lake some where so I built a dam.

The town of Gum Lake has this lovely river and water falls.

And the Govenment desided to dam it .. dam them.

The replaced the river with a pipe.

I think they should either add extra pipes and/or put a spill way in.

we shall see what they do.

Dam it all .. was hoping the dame and some pipes be ready now for uploading for testing.

But found a problem building the boats to go on the dam so hope get chance fix them tomorrow and also forgot to shade the big pipe that joins the dam.

I had a go adding the pipes from IRS set and in this image give idea how they look. Will they do for 3 and 6 pipes or should I still do some extra big piped?

I fixed those few problems with the dam and pipes.

Guess I can upload it and let you try.

There a variety of boats you can place on the dam where the water is deep 8 and 16 pixels deep.
Some shore line pieces as well .. both are multi-select menus.

It like some of my other projects .. they not finished. Still work to to do when I can get my mind to figure out some of the things needed to do.

Done .. the changes I made I now need to update it some more. The rock slopes many of them the purchase menu is just green grass as forgot to tell them the purchase menu template is smaller now.

So here is version 9 update (fixed problem).

It has a new object added:

You now have a choice lay the pipes up and over the hills and mountains or you can tunnel through them.

Hi-ya all,

Playing around with my screenshot for this months competition (hope your doing the same).

If your theme has some country in it .. you might like to use these animals of slopes

I did not have many animals on slopes so I added some Sheep, Cattle and horses.

The tiles are multi-select and there are 9 different views of each animal for all 4 slopes.

You can have just a small heard or a large heard of the animal you want to use.

Trying to design 3 of the grey pipes but problem is a tile is 32 pixels wide and bit hard to divide e pipes to fit properly. when get one direction to work properly when pipes need to change directions this where the problem is. I will keep working on it a bit more and if not get a good solution. If unsuccessful will look at even number of pipes. The size of these pipes will not fit 6 on one tile.

I'll have another try in a few days time.

Back on page 55 I was told about a Wires set with Electricity for Cargoes.

A member called Supercheese attempted to make a Electricity, Power Lines, and Industries set.

I had a go see what I can do with it. It all based on the railway electricity system for the trains. But it only has 1 wire and not really suitable for carrying electricity.
Taken me a month but think I been successful.
The set contains some power stations and substations to link the wires to.

I made the wires look like actual power poles, Would have been good if I could have use the high tower, but they would be spaced only 2 tiles and look terrible.
So just the normally looking poles with 4 wires if what we have to have .. for now.

Tunnels and level crossing .. not suitable as you will find out if you tried to make them. Poles and wires are to tall for tunnels and the electricity is too fast for the level crossing .. can guarantee a RV will get zapped.

Slight graphic problem at corners as impossible to align the wires properly at those locations as coding is designed for a single wire not multiple like I did..

Also need to figure out a signalling system .. any suggestions.

Your welcome to give it a try and see what you think and pass on any ideas you might have.

This would be much better implemented as a tramtype. You eliminate the issues of signals and vehicle collisions and have near-infinite capacity with the benefit of simultaneous bi-directional traffic, and being able to mix this into your cities without sacrificing space. Use Wallweb's Urban Transport bridge, or create an "invisible" bridge to carry over places where you don't want level crossings.

If you keep it as a railtype, borrow PIPE's signal box.

You could be right, I just haven't had much to do with the tramtypes in codings. Wonder if they will allow to have the higher poles and wires?
