and here I am cluttering his topic saying my opinion that if he intends to make a story I have no quarrel with the person in question having their own topic.

I'm actually quite happy to let this thread continue.

i have done stories in the past, and admin has no rules against it. Actually a story is a nice change form the usual threads, a breathe of fresh air.

Hey, you know what would be fun, a multiplayer story, or just a good classic bb story to get this forum moving again, and to (hopefully) silence the trolls:

back on topic, well it looks like you have a good idea of how to build a good network, but some advice, build yards, both eyecandy and functional, they make it look a lot more realistic and fun
May the force be with you.
For little boys, three things reign as supreme attention-keepers: tanks, heavy construction equipment, and trains, we all know why where here.

"Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music."

Might be nice to have a relay game sometime, where people take turns to run a scenario for just a few years. Could make a nice thread and also give a realistic experience of being a railway manager, inheriting someone else's mess!

that's kind of a cool idea Kev.

now when you say mess, do you mean the trackwork or the mod list? ~snicker~

Lol, probably best to keep the mod list simple, perhaps just down to one of the big packs like the BR or US set, still gives enough variety without being too picky. Its not like individual players are going to have the time to do lots of customisation anyway (modelling wouldn't be the point). The trackwork and motive power choices were more my point - if I start in 1900, I often find I have to rebuild later in the game anyway, because what I built was too constrictive for modern trains.

Really nice screens, i like these realistic layouts. :)

I hope someone can help me: I'm desperately looking for that bridge you use, the search engine refuses to help me, maybe I used the wrong keywords or something. I'd really appreciate if somebody would help me.

PS: I'm from Austria, so whatever i write, might contain a few mistakes, but I'm doing my best
Beware of my english
