Hi guys. before you close this "Andel" i just want to make a point that i have driven Class 43's for 20years. i have driven the Paxman Engined and the MTU plus the Engine that was in 4 units of the East Coast. I will agree with "Geoff31818" on his point that the performance of the Hst is below real life. I Drive 9 units and they can easily get up to 125. I've never had a unregulated unit so thats as fast as i've gone.

I will agree with geoff31818 that both the class43 and 91 can go up to 140 and they did for 3 years on the section north of york but due to track wear it was brought back down to 125. and the record for a 91 is 162.8mph. this was a test run with 9 cars.

I would suggest you notice the point he made instead of arguing the toss! you all looked like idiots in that post.

Andel and the people at AMI. The Class 43 in game needs to accelerate faster, no need to up the speed unless you really want to. I would also increase the deltic to 125, although they were rated for 100 they can and did regularly run in front of or right behind at intercity125 with 8 cars. The deltics usually had 8 or 10 coaches.



Just to make it clear these are suggestions only. By the way Andel I would suggest you sort the search out.

This is a tycoon game, NOT A SIM!

There are no physics adjustments in this game. You make a box that resembles your object, give it some HP , tonnage and dates of opperastion. Place it on the tracks and let it go!

You cant set tractive effort, draw bar pull, barometric pressure for the day and loss of HP due to a bad piston ring....
nothing in this game is realistic.....

yes G-A-M-E... use your imagination.. tweak the settings if you want... have fun... it is a game.


If you want realistic operation, play MSTS. even that is still pretty unrealistic, but, it is closer.
better yet. go buy some model trains... then you can make anything your heart desires.

right i like trains i like train sim i have had tt i have locomotion i have train sim.


capitals are so you read what i say, not shouting THE SPEED INCREASE IS A SUGGESTION FOR THE NEXT PATCH. SO IS THE DELTIC OR CLASS 55 SUGGESTION. i repeat SUGGESTION. guys im not going to post on this topic again if this is the response. all i ask for a few tweaks and isn't editing the exe illegal?


for andel notice i would like him to take note yes you are the moderator and yes you have authority but being rude to people is not being in charge thats just bullying.



final point this is a suggestion increase the HP to get better aceleration if you not A LOT of the engines use actual engine hp not on rail hp. REMEMBER IS A SUGGESTION i'm not telling you what to to REMEMBER. anyway i'm off to play on the game.

You have argued against a moderator, even creating a follow on topic instead of replying to my rather polite PM in private. Ching! Warning #2.

You have also argued with other members after being put right, persisting to ignore the notes of the matter being closed. For this - you've guessed it - Ching! Warning #3! That means... yep - everyone knows this bit - temhemhemhemhemporary BAN!!

I'd send this on a PM but since you wanted to try and have a good public argument, I figured public was the way to go.

I'd argue some more but I'm sure with your experise in being the idiot you'd just bring me down to your level and beat me with experience.
