Since when has it been 2009? Its been just over a year. I'd stop digging up old topics if I was you, you'll just incur the wrath of that dodgy old Andel bloke :P

Looking good, I like the Motorway network. Hopefully it'll end up with a really good congested network!

Oddly, it is a tile by tile build up - the area is so populated and built up of roads that I'm building up and preparing the entire area for you to put in tracks, trams, buses and airports... You *should* be able to get in London City, Kent, Calais, Gatwick and mebbe bololognaise. Oh, did I mention it'll have a point for EuroTunnel?

Anyway, last night I continued on my work by Eastborne and Brighton... next up is to do the Motorways past Gatwick and down, then the links between Folkestone and Dover (which has an authentic harbour wall) and finally to ensure the landscape is much like the real thing - Google is a blessing.

That's the idea. There are some b-e-a-utiful buses available from Hodkowicz at http://locomotion.gecko2000.com/ plus beer trucks and SQs DHL/Cola/Plain Mercedes Trucks and those articulated ones on Loco-FP. It's very much open to all forms of road and rail.

Love the Eurotunnel terminal, looks lovely and complex, plus the fact you have planned HS1 for us!

Its aimed to allow the EuroTunnel bit to be a goods change-over area as well as a passenger dumping ground to move them to France via the tunnel...

Good idea - the BR set Le Shuttle will need a passenger capacity then.

It is coming along quite nicely Andel. It's been a while since I've seen any of those place names, I lived in Farnham, Surrey for a couple of years from 1999, and used to go on day trips and the like around those southern towns. I can't wait to play this one! I'll have to get a route map to work out the networks though... Would anyone have one available I could download?

2 Screenies from todays work... I've had to rebuild north Kent as it was too crunched up...

This has been one of the hardest scenarios I've built so far because of the level of realism required... think I might do the isle of Man next - might be a bit easier!

Looking worth it though - it will be sooo satisfying when you finish.

Especially like the A2.

Have just had to move canterbury and most of the east coast... am now about to re-do the A2, Deal and the Bay of Sandwich...

The hills are authentic to the map and it's taken two hours of checking against the O/S maps... Google just isn't accurate enough!

Shouldn't be too long now... only a couple more years.
