i think it could be longer i like to have just 1 sort of train doing things in my game at a time but its not worth it with this train becuase it goes to soon
I gave it the actual running dates instead of the production dates. so, in a sence, it is extended already, It is part of the US set, in the set there will be a loco to replace it before it expires. I originallly had it set to only work with the passenger coaches that i made to go with it. this was one of the last steam engines to be built and to be replaced by diesel in the US. by 1957 almost everything was being pulled by E-Uinits, F3's and F7's
you can always use locowrapper to improve the reliability and remove the obsoletion date. it is very easy to use and nice tool. or, as you said just dont use it

the reliability in this game is so pathetic that by the time it needs replacing, there is probably somthing better anyways. or should be....
this was a release as a proof of conncept that running gear
can work in LoMo.
