Aircraft crash in airfield
Hello , I've got problem with aircraft. Many of my airbus are crash when it is landing in the airfield. There are no tall buildings and mountain around the airfield , totally I have lost 6 airbus in 15mins real-time , some of them is just only the first flight , take-off > flying > landing & crash
Does anyone know what's going on ? How should I solve this problem ? I have no idea since I never had this experience in old TT

That is irrelevant.YingCFoo wrote:There are no tall buildings and mountain around the airfield
Are you sending "large" aircraft to "small" airports? The small airports are the small airport and the commuter airport.Does anyone know what's going on ? How should I solve this problem ? I have no idea since I never had this experience in old TT
See http://wiki.openttd.org/Airports#Crash_landing for the exact chances of a plane crashing while landing.

Thanks for the quick reply from developer~
Yes , it is a small airport , 4 big planes and 2 small planes are crashed..........How to define the plane is small or big ? By the capacity ? The capacity from below 100 passengers to a few hundred planes are also crash

Re: Aircraft crash in airfield
Some aircraft NewGRFs also state whether a plane is small or large in the aircraft purchase window. Since you're talking about airbus, I guess you're using such a NewGRF, so it might be worth to check. I know av8 adds that information.
Come to think of it, maybe OpenTTD can display this information by default, as it has access to it...

Re: Aircraft crash in airfield
You can always just color small aircraft differently (this affects the purchase window as well):
Company window > Color scheme > Aircraft > Put a checkmark in the box near small aircraft > Change the colors for small aircraft.
Company window > Color scheme > Aircraft > Put a checkmark in the box near small aircraft > Change the colors for small aircraft.

Re: Aircraft crash in airfield
There are probably a lot of other values that should be displayed in different places, like loading speed, rail-/roadtype, etc.
also the prototype offer window could use a review on which data is displayed, e.g. additional newgrf text

Re: Aircraft crash in airfield
Thanks everyone of your help~ I change from small airfield to large , it works~ No more aircraft crash~ It's the problem about the size between aircraft and airfield~
