This was a really good run.
Everyone did a much better job then I expected.

For those that did not get a lot of votes, Don't be discouraged. This was a really tough week and chalk it up to experience and practice for later.

PS some of the cabooses that were based on real ones will be duplicated in US pack...

*NOTES*
These cabooses need the Freight Sound available in any one of my packs.
These cabooses also are coded to "flip" since they sometimes run cupola forward. use a flipper if needed.

OK guys..

A lot of you are trying to make buses and other items in 3D.
This weeks contest is to try and give you ideas and inspire you.

When you make your bus;
I don't care how square a bus looks. it is not a box. there are curves and details. Take some time and make it right.
Don't paint your bus (or other object) in your 3D program, Texture it. then you can repaint it anytime and make a new one in seconds.

This is a blind contest

I extended the time a little because I was late posting this. Maybe we can get more entries and some thought out quality reskins.

1.download the zip file.
2. paint the item with your favorite paint like program.
3.You must leave the item 512x512 or 1024x1024 BMP. (there are no alpha channels)
4. PM me your entry in a zip/rar/7zip with the topic "REPAINT"
5 DO NOT POST A THUMBNAIL (We are doing this one Blind. I'll post it)
6 sometime on the Sunday after next Sunday (May 2nd) Ill close the entries and post a new poll for voting. 1 1/2 weeks or 20 entries. whatever comes first. there is a limit of 20 for voting.
7 the poll will run for a guess 1 week?
8 in the case of a tie, we go to sudden death and I kill you both, err ill make them both. I'm kind.
9 i forgot what 9 was. there were 20 rules. wtf...
10 if i get to busy to close the entries. ill let you slip in until i get time. (consider it open till i close it.)
11 you are limited to 1 entry ( yeah i said you can upload 3.. i might change my mind on this at any time. I changed my mind. those that already submitted one, I'll allow you to change or edit it before the deadline)

Be kind, this was one of, if not my very first model I ever made.
I only put as much detail into it as I thought Lomo needed.

It was Made in Gmax and later converted to 3DSmax
After the conversion, The stripes were all corrected, you should be able to stripe the entire bus.
All 4 sides and over the top of roof should all line up.

I had made a version for MSTS and never released it. Note the photos in MSTS shapeviewer

This bus has an optional AC unit on the roof, if you do not want it. CROSS IT OUT.

There are factory installed escape hatches on the roof DO NOT remove those.
they are in the model in 3D. you can however repaint them solid colors.... they might look messed up if your stripe over them.

The drivers window is a separate piece. Make sure you paint the Tabs and the overhang to get all the parts around the window.

I think they look pretty good. I've never used any buses in Loco, but this could change that. I wish I knew what I was doing to duplicate a local bus that is wrapped pretty sweet but it's over my head.

I think that is the only way I could do it. Everything I could find with Google images was an angled shot or too small.

if the angle is not to bad, you can ue the crop tool in photoshop to chop and re-skew it to a useable skin.
