There, New version online.

New features:
* Fixed all (?) known bugs
* Possible added some unknown ones
* New system on the economy. Default is now the old easy mode, and it scales down to 1/128th of the costs, see the readme for details (Link in sig)
* Hopefully fixed the complaints about "ugly turns", as I made all sprites up to "pikka-standard alignments"

Get it from the fruit-section of your none-regional supermarket (BaNaNaS) or some wacky webpage ;)

It lacks engines for short distance two/three-wagon trains after year 2000.
Just a few hrs after Beta2 is out, Im uploading Beta 2.01, thus adding a 1999 low power low speed diesel. The belgian SNCB 78. 100kmh, 1500hp, 264 TE, 87 tons. Cheap to buy and operate :)

from the dutch set thread, including a quick repaint (yellow-> CC-blue, red/brown -> CC-green), and a small tour on wikipedia, i found the french page on all belgian engines, and as far as i could see, is it this engine: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%C3%A9rie_77_(SNCB). Or atleast it is similar enough :)

It are the "Mechelse Herders" from the Belgian railway. It's an improved version of the Dutch NS6400 and known as the G1205 by Siemens-Vossloh.

I've just started a game, with what I assume is the latest version (downloaded it last week). The only comment I have right now is that I haven't found any problems yet. Looks pretty solid. Mind you, I'm only in the 1940s yet, and only built one type of engine. :D

Still an awesome set: nice trains, good variety, and the only set I've played that has proper costs. I.e. trains that don't recoup their entire investment in one single year.

Custom sounds are nice, but I guess they'd be pretty hard to implement? And to be honest, I don't think they add that much.

Implementing sounds isn't that hard. Finding the right sounds is a lot harder.

That's what I figured. ;)

A trip to Argentina to record the sound of steam train sounds like a great deal of fun, but alas; my budget doesn't allow it. :(

everything but metros atm? Perhaps even some old-style metros (a bell of some sort for the really old ones?), a few different steam sounds, some diesel-sounds, electrical sounds, i dunno... any suggestions?
