Replacing Trains mod?

Post by fredrickmore »

Hi guys,

Ive been a huge fan of Locomotion, since i learnt that it was coming out. However the one problem i have with it is when you have loads of train and once they get too old you have to go through each one and replace them one by one (which is very akward). Now im wondering if theres a mod or something that will allow me to replace by pressing single button for all of my trains or just one to make it A LOT quicker and easyier.

Cheers
Phil

locowrqaper makes them never breakdown
May the force be with you.
For little boys, three things reign as supreme attention-keepers: tanks, heavy construction equipment, and trains, we all know why where here.

Sadly there's no way round replacing them by hand though.

Presumably means that trains do not become obsolete, so you can keep buying the locos past there obsoletion date.. though i odnt use locowrapper, so i may be completely wrong :lol:

One thing most players forget, including the old school guys once in a while;

for the first 2 years a vehicle is available, it has a severely reduced reliability. you pretty much have to scrap it right away.
I guess this was to make up up for the "beta testing option" from TTD that LoMo lacks. If you are not playing with "wrapped" trains, try to avoid them at first.

PS. Welcome to the forums.

Personally, I play with breakdowns most of the time. I am more likely to use "improved reliability" on trains and no breakdowns on trams and busses (it is to hard to replace trams in a huge skyscraper laden city). Once in a blue moon, I'll use "NO breakkdowns" after I am well into a game and cant keep up with 120+ trains.

It is kind of annoying when you have a big fleet and can spend 15 game years replacing vehicles, say in the steam-diesel changeover period, then end up with the first ones you changed being crap and needing to be replaced again at some point (and thats even playing with the BR set which has 100% reliability). Spending 15 years changing vehicles can be boring too, but at least I guess its realistic!

you can use autopause to stop the clock while you change out your fleet.

It does. If you look on Locomotion-fanpage, you can search for a train pack with all this done for you... sadly, I have not downloaded it for a while and so I cannot remember what it is called. However, if you download something called VehiclePack-No obsolete or something like that, don't download this as it just adds new stuff on and updates certain models. :)

Nope, ive found the name and it is called "Keine Ersten". This will do it all for you as it contains modified versions of all the standard .dat models.
