Sound needs to be a lot shorter. Try shortening it to 50% duration. It's a good sound though! Awesome work!

All files included this way must be 8-bit mono sound files in WAV format, PCM encoding. There are two allowed frequencies: 11025 Hz and 22050 Hz. Due to some limitations of the GRF format, the file size cannot exceed 64KB.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

well, the default metro sound is implemented, but it would be cool to have more sounds when we are at it :) Not entierly sure what, but anyway ... anyone into it?

What sounds do you have in mind?

Btw a small tip, if you want great sounds, download MSTS soundpacks. They contain all sounds for different types of states of the train.

i have absolutely no idea ... do you? hehe ... either way, this set is kinda innovative in itself (methink), so innovative sounds and sound-setting would also be cool :) however. how many people play with sound enabled? is it worth the hassle to add it? personally do i never play with sound, it's just too annoying. Atleast with lets say 20-30 metro-trains, 20 or 30 trams, a couple of handfull regionaltrains, and two inn/two out mainlines pluss perhaps an airport in a city.

 Well I have the sounds always on, but the music off. You need tot use the sounds in a non annoying way, like with locomotion. Also a parameter for controlling the sound mode would be a worthful feature.

1 Start sound, called when leaving a station or depot, take-off sound for planes
2 Tunnel sound, called when vehicle enters tunnel (use echo to create tunnel effect)
3 Breakdown sound, called when vehicle breaks down (not for planes)
4 Running sound, called once per engine tick, but no more than once per vehicle motion (low volume)
6 Train visual effect generation (steam plume, diesel smoke, electric spark) (for steamers a nice addition)
7 Running sound, called every 16 engine ticks if in motion (low volume)
8 Stopped sound, called every 16 engine ticks if stopped (low volume)
9 Load/unload sound, called when consist loads or unloads cargo
10 Bridge sound, called as generic feature 06 callback every time a consist moves on a bridge. (Higher volume)

The bold ones have my preference, the rest is optional.

If freeware, we first need to ask permission to use them. But the chances for a granted persmision are quite high in the MSTS scene. Contacting them will be much harder, because most of the soundpacks will be quite old.

Btw. The japanese have like really happy load and unload sounds.

Silly Japanese. Why would one actually want to have anything like that :? "It's foolish and silly"

I have been wondering, is it just me or is the set not downloadable at the moment?
my browser just keeps trying to connect then tells me it can't find the webpage after I click to download.

more sounds is a grat idea btw.

The link works, but the redirect page is constant refreshing in IE 7. You can press the red 'X' to stop it.

Btw. Is it possible to code a control car for the pax coaches. So it's possible to create push and pull trains.

it is, however, im not sure on how to code it ... but there are a couple of trains that could need it... X2000 and mDDm (and perhaps one or two more)

edit: and the link works, atleast from my position :) Atleast in firefox (witch is "my" browser:)), but if the redirect dont work just "click there" to downloda ;)
