Three more pics from the East Riding:

First pic: 2 Cleethorpes Pioneers (City of Doncaster on the left and City of Cleethorpes on the right) pass just outside of Scunthorpe.

Second pic: A Class 325 passes a Pendolino on a local Doncaster-Selby service.

Last pic: A Topped and Tailed Class 91 + Mk4 set leaves Doncaster while an HST waits and a Pendolino arrives. Also, City of Cleethorpes is seen departing Doncaster Eastern.

Just a few shots from a Scenario I'm currently attempting to build.

1: The stations and yard at Diss Chemco refinement facility (Chem doppler)

2: A very quiet time at Contico Plastics (I have plans to move the factory in the scenario editor to allow two ro-ro stations)

3: As a train loaded with chemicals storms towards Contico Plastics at Diss Junction, an empty train storms through having just passed Truro Junction on its way Diss Chemco refinement facility.

Some screenies of my game in my County Durham scenario. I think the target was a bit OTT, am only 2% there after 20 or so years. Got quite a network going now, trying to be as near to the actual network as Loco allows.

I have painted my steam locos in the Apple Green of the LNER, and my electric locos black - in reality only the LNER express passenger locos were painted green, the rest were black but Loco doesn't let you differentiate quite that far. I've painted all the goods stock black and the coaches as close to the LNER's teak varnish as Loco can get.

Darlington.jpg
Darlington - an ECML stopper runs into Bank Top station while electric hauled coal trains run underneath on the Stockton and Darlington line. Given Loco's limitations, it would be almost impossible to have a realistic layout in Darlo!

Willington.jpg
Tank hauled steam services from other pits drop off coal at Willington mines. Here it is taken to Stockton Power Station by electric train. In reality Shildon-Newport Yard was one of the UK's first OHLE lines.

Relley.jpg
The complex scene at Relley Junction just south of Durham, where three different branches meet the ECML, and some coal trains hold up a passenger train. The real site was quite complex too, but didn't have any flyovers!

A look at the Stanhope and Tyne Railway now. If the first Loco EMU is intended to be an NER EMU, it is now actually in its habitat at last. :D

Nanny Mayor's Incline.jpg
In reality a rope hauled incline, Nanny Mayor's Incline was so steep that the original had to be abandoned. Only Iron Ore trains run on this remote Pennine section.

Consett.jpg
The Iron Ore trains run to Consett Steel Works, which is still a good way above the snow line!

The line then drops down, eventually ending up at South Shields. Here is a Tyneside EMU at Jarrow on a Newcastle Manors - South Shields service. Thankfully this junction doesn't seem to be too much of a bottleneck - yet.

Finally a couple of ECML piccies. My ECML is full of coal trains though, although the real one between Newcastle and Darlington is not that fast either, being only two line and clogged with freight. Plus BR were stupid and mothballed the main freight avoiding line round Durham, which is just quietly rotting away.

Durham.jpg
Two ECML expresses pass at Durham. The layout of this station is relatively accurate! The town has boomed up though and is now one of the biggest cities in the scenario, despite the station not being ideally placed in Loco terms.

Haha, you've been possessed by the AI!

Seriously, nice screens, I'd quite like to see the actual station area in Newcastle. :))

you can add 3 per posts as an attachment. You can also link to off-site images with the [img] command

If you are doing them as attachments, anything up to 600x800 will show in the body of the post. anything larger then 600x800 will show as downloads that must be downloaded to view.

use MS paint to convert your screen shot images to PNG's first.

Thanks for the kind comments guys - I'll post a shot of Newcastle later, although its not that big at the moment.

I have to admit to building on bridges a lot, I like my flyover style junctions.

Time for some Newcastle shots now :) . I decided to replan Newcastle Central by extending north to Cramlington so that it could be extended to four tracks, I can't really go for a totally realistic layout - if Loco had path based signaling I could - no diamond crossovers sadly. So I kept the suburban traffic seperate and sent it to Manors - not unlike what happened in real life.

I'm up to 1928 now and have got built the Stockton & Darlington, Stanhope & Tyne, ECML, and most of the Leamside Line, as well as a few other coal carrying short lines. Next up will be the Durham Coast Line.

Here's a couple of screenshots from a map I made the otherday.

I tried making parts of Norway where I have been to, or where my friends there live.
Not perfect, but I was pretty happy with the outcome

A busy Oslo Gardermoen. Complete with the railway station under the airport.
And yes I KNOW there isn't a city called Gardermoen - I needed to get passengers to come up there somehow.

The entire map. Each area is on a seperate island. Alta had the most work done to it.
Also I added 'international' cities on the edges for flights going around Europe. (This was not the final design)

A few years later, things have got pretty out-of-control. Bit annoying.
