Boulder Breakers Extreme ( Big Cities)

Post by Evaldws »

Well guys, I've been playing lomo for some time, and then I tought: why don't play the most basic scenario to it's extreme? So I've started today playing boulder breakers to it's extreme point. As soon as possible i'll be posting some new screenshots :D

Hmmm... I like this and its amusing to see where you need to expand etc... but please - no spin off topics - we already have a ScreenShot thread.

Getting it in now before Plastikman starts a few ;)

You could elevate a line through on a loop - each passenger station will only take 80% of its possible passengers and mail anyway.

I had to try this map out with Plastikman new set. I'm up to 10 cargo trains and now working on building the citys with a couple of RDC units. I will post screens soon.

Here is my version, Now I'm using all Plastik stuff. The new public beta and some trains I like. Most of the screen shots if not all of them are after I have made big redesign of the layout. I have made the island bigger to meet my needs but I would only raise land after I get over 15m and can only use 3 mil at a time for improvements.

So far I have about 15 shots. I just going to post about 9 tonight and maybe some tomorrow. Sorry this is a new puter and I'm trying to get use to abode elements as my editor. So if I break the frames I will fix asap.

Kevin

How is the picture size. I run loco in 1600 by 1200. I converted to .jpeg and redused the size to 800x600. Should I make them bigger. Thanks for the input.

The next couple of years were all used to work on the main traffice patterns I wanted. I worked on making all station RO-RO. As you can see in some of the shots I was planning ahead with some stations thinking about begining to build up the towns. Well I did not add any trams or and buses. So it will be difficult to build my citys. Even now only one of my citys is growing.

WoW Beachtown Iron Ore mines are really upping the production. This expansion was done to meet the new demand. 2 New trains were added to bump my total to 9 trains. The Coal Mine stations move was complete to make way for future expansion.

It is 1978 and all is going good. We are starting to make some need cash due to the Ore Mine and now the Coal mines are producing more. With the traffic at the Ore Mine a RO-RO was really needed. The only problem was that Breaktown lost about 1/3 of its population

Someone in the Company - Im not going to say who. Thought it would be a good idea to start passenger service. So Beachtown East for started. This server almost set the company in the red until it was discontinue due to lack of interest. Also duing this time some spurs were built to help with easy traffic. Looks like the Ore Mines are not producing like they use to.

Close up of Breakers Bridge. Just finished with the expansion of the tth platform. Only problem is that the bond package used to pay for the expainsion was not enough and cost more time to complete it.

A new Station is added near BreakersBridge. I added this only to try and build up the city size. I have also trying to optimize some of the layout to help avoid traffice problems.

What a day. With the completion of the Boulder Bay tunnel and the completion of the Breaker Bridge Yards everything seemed to be going so well. It was time to make things a little easier on my self buy adding some land for future expansion. As I explained earlier I only started this after I got over 15m and only allowed my self to spend 3mil at a time.

I still can not get the Citys to get bigger. They are staying right at the same. by the time of the last shot I have 3 passenger server trains all running at a loss. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but the problem seems to correct its self later.

Next set of shots will be tomorrow and will include more expansion, and 2 new stations are added.

What a mess it was to build the Boulder Bay tunnel. We went through 3 contractor and 6 redesigns. But a direct route between Boulder Bay and the steel waiting at Breakbridge was needed. The crazy thing was that we still came under budget and were able to build Break Bridge Yard.

With the problems we were having at breakbridge we needed to sure of the land. After a huge turn out at the Breakbridge Election the new Mayor apointed a blue ribbion panel to come up with financing and plains to expand the land breakbridge station and breakbridge island.

BreakBridge Island is no more with the complete expansion from Breakbridge station. The redesign of Boulder boay south is complete. The station will now accept train bigger than 6 car lengths and now will accept more than just 2 trains. Expainsion is started at Bouldbay for a new highspeed line just east of town.

Dont know. I just have the BR set and Plastik's trains and his new Beta set. I also have the german stations but none in this ser. But I have always been able to connect the VIA to anything if I remember correctly. There are Plastik's VIA if I did not mention it before.

VIA p42 should be unlocked from anything, unless you have VIA Sample beta pack?

uhh can i honestly admit i have never used it? i have not used 1/2 the stuff i have made .... i just remember that once i added the blue cars and the ren cars, I had to many coaches to lock them and got rid of it.

I have seen shots of people using them to pull freight so I am sure they are unlocked.
somewhere I have that loco in MHQ... I should release it..

I hit a snag tonight. It is 2036 and most of Dekosoft is Obsolete. I'm down to 6 or 7 Dekosoft Trains and the UP heritages I had selected. I'm going to quit for a while and will update my progress with shot next. Then I guess I will find the save game tool and add some more locos in. By the way I really love the Acela. I upgraded all my Passenger service with these babies and most of my traffic jams have come to a stop. Boy they can fly.
