Just when you thought I was done...

Yes, I am, once again, working on this pack. It will include a variety of new locos and cars (such as Culdee, Catherine, Smudger) and fix some old ones (Lady will be repainted by MSTNoodle, I have converted a different-color Duncan, Mavis is no longer a Class 03 (she's a class 04 with side plates)).

See the picture to get more of an idea.

Sorry for the double post, but here is where you might come in handy...

Culdee is a rack rail locomotive, and if you were here half a year ago, you know that I was having difficulties coding the Snowdon Mountain Railway (rack rail) locomotives (I stopped when Martin1990 said he would release his own, but since he's disappeared, I might release mine).

If you have an understanding for how rack rail should be coded, let me know and I'll send you a private message containing the XML. The first person to return the XML fixed to me will receive a beta pack of unreleased locomotives.

Sorry I took so long to get back to You. Change the following lines to get a NarrowGuage train to use rackrail.

The right is the XML as You sent it to Me, The left is My edits. Items in red are what I changed/added/deleted.

I did change the Rack speed from 10 to 6. That is up to You, Usually rack is a LOT slower then non-rack speed.
There are several other changes I would make if this was My train.

EDIT: i just noticed I accidently turned off Bit_1 (by deleteing the line instead of setting to 0, it works the same). You dont want that set unless you have driving cabs at both ends anyways (example of one of my several changes I would make).

This is the xml extracted from the DAT you sent me. the original XML you sent me had about 20 changes in it.
dont forget to change nummods to Zero

Code: Select all

    <variable name="nummods" size="1">0</variable>

Nice pack. TTTE was a great show when I was a kid. Oh, would you make Bertie if there was an MSTS Model of him?

There isn't an MSTS model of him that I can find, especially because he's a bus.

If any 3D modelers out there that ever get bored, perhaps you can make Bertie, Terrence, and Harold.

If you look in the default ROUTES/EUROPE1 folder, there's a file called UKBUS.s or something. Maybe too dark to look like Berty, but a repaint, or simply a changed palette would output a berty-look-alike bus.

Can you please remove 'Derek' from this pack, as I never gave permission for the model to be included.

Also, I know that the MSTS models of Mighty Mac, Fearless Freddie and Bertrum have NOT got permission from the original MSTS author for their use as both MSTS models and Lomo Models. I have informed their original author of this.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news but you really should ask permission before using.

I'm pretty sure I emailed you about Derek. My email is etozorak - I can still remove him, but I think you did give me permission.

You mean to say Smudger Fan didn't get permission to reskin these models? He only gave them to me - I didn't know he hadn't asked permission. Can't say I'm entirely surprised.

Don't worry, though. I never released them.

Meh, i'm happy for Derek to stay in there, it's not worth fussing over. Just in future an email would be nice :). And of course being credited.

I know it's wound up a few MSTS developers when they've found their stuff in Lomo addons without permission.

I bet, I have heard the same thing a few times from the MSTS community.

It takes a lot of work and time to make a 3D model, You guys deserve every ounce of support and recognition.

Of course. I couldn't make MSTS conversions if there weren't any people willing to make MSTS models.

Thanks again Dave.

Train-A-Mania Did you end up getting a website for the pack?
