Its a very beautiful map like openttd art hehe that sayed i dont think its the kinda of map i would play. Because i like the random features and such. Almost be sad to destroy or build anything on that
But still good job. You must really have used more than A LOT of time
Thanks all for the positive feedback , it certainly helps me with staying motivated
So far 1 volunteer, nobody else interested helping with this map?, Here some more pix from the North coast and the largest city so far: Capitola, a hugh city along the largest river, tho that one still needs some work. So anyone that doesn't want to see this project die, pls help us out!
Just Great You must have spend so much effort on it.
I have replied to your email with some ideas how to organize/coordinate things. Just let me know what you think about it

I am also willing to help you out with this one, I already sent you an email.
One things I did notice going through your screenshots is the bridges. I don't know if OTTD supports this (I play more TTDP), but what happened to custom bridgeheads. That one you can have bridges linking up directly with roads, so you can have straight sidings along your canals. Just a little beautytip.

They have not existed yet.
A long time ago, there was a custom bridgeheads patch by peter1138: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=20211
This is something I really miss in OpenTTD, as I use this feature a lot in TTDP.
Thanks all, we're currently working on a wiki page.
I also made map a of the scenario with photoshop, showing information about the major cities and global envirement and also giving an idea on how far the map is progressed and what amount of work still needs to be done:

What happend to it anyway? (Lucaspillers last post (on page 3) is fun datewise. (anytime soon... LOL))
Only dug up the topic to see if it's been completed yet, it's amazing!
And by the way, it would be better if the pics were attached with the forums attachment feature, so the tables aren't stretched. It also doesn't help when the pics are gif not png and are therefore massive in size, especially for dial-up users.

A lot of things (preparation) has been done behind the scenes and the teamwork on the map will start very soon. We have already started a Project Page on the wiki. But don't expect a final version very soon. It's still a lot of work to do and we all have real-lifes and other projects So the answer is: when it's done
Just have a look at the wiki page from time to time to see how things evolve.

You're right about the table stretching. I'll give Whopper a friendly pointer to change it

i think that a map like this should be played with a sort of static map, where cities don't grow or they have a veeery limited growt
terraform should cost very much
demolishing houses should cost more too
and industries founding and (dis)appearing should be to avoid
what i mean is like a spinoff challenge, but i hope that one day this will be possible to do without making a new fork of ottd, and set "dynamic" and "static" in the scenario editor

I guess great minds think alike.
I have volunteered for this project, but apart from an email from Whopper I haven't heard anything else. I just looked at the wiki and edited some parts of the history (just some grammar corrections, nothing big) and I was wondering when we are going to start on the map itself. I'm really looking forward to finishing such a great map.
