(req) diagonal roads

can some1 plz make it so that they have diagonal road peices

If that worked, it would definitely be great, but would require also a lot of thought of how to deal with road crossings (diagonal to diagonal as well as diagonal to horizontal) :shock:

i don't think this is possible. as when you make a road, there's no place for that left in the interface. the graphics are not that problem. but the technical..

it's only my opinion :wink:
i did all models/renderings/textures myself. no conversions.

seelenquell.pytalhost.com has been reactivated from 16/07/28 till 18/05/31.. now it´s deactivated. at least there..

they did it 4 the narrow gauge they can do it 4 road....how is it impossible?

narrow guage is part of the boxed game. there are no sprites for a diagonal road made, let alone the proper turns to get onto the diagonal. then once you had the sprites made, they are not in the placement interface, then once you cross that obstical, I bet a car would have no clue how to drive on the new sprites (no pathing). that would have to then be coded in the exe.

i am sure the last 3 points are all located in the exe..

sorry....

but hey, i am not going to stop you if you happen to decide to make it. can you bump up the map sizes also while you are in there? :twisted:

Besides that did you notioced that only trains (or in other word, one way only on one sprite) are used? So maybe if its possible to make the sprites etc, the game dont know how to use it.

This cannot be done. It is impossible to edit the DAT files to accomplish this.

Basically, there are two types of surface paths, "road" and "track". Each has certain characteristics built into the EXE. A "road" cannot have diagonal paths like a "track", nor can it have the largest curve.
