Which means that my patch has missed another alpha... oh well...
Work will ressume tonight and over the next three days on the patch, it will make its way into a51... Im going to make sure of it...

I find a bug with the capacity window of a train. When I try open the capacity window of this train the games crash. Here is the photo before the crash. This is the unique train that causes crash (is the largest).
Ups, the image don't show.

Please attach the crash log (crash###.txt) file generated by the crash.
I finally figured out one of the odder PBS bugs. I now have it happening in two places on my network with similar configurations. Basically, if there's a pre-signal setup leading into a station, and a one-way signal leading out the other end, and there is a bridge crossing over tracks between the inbound pre-signal exit and the station itself, and the train in question is exactly the same length as the station, and the train is supposed to reverse at that station and head back the other way, it won't. It just gives up and stops without attempting to reverse.
If any of those conditions are not met, the train will work fine. I finally figured this out after I did some service upgrades and things stopped working.
- I replaced a level road/rail crossing with a bridge, and one train started getting stuck.
- Then, at another station which already had the bridge configuration, I added cars to a train up to the limit of how long the station was, and suddenly it started jamming up too, where previously it had worked fine.

Well, it doesn't for me. Could you please post your configuration files and allow me to decide what really causes that crash, instead of diagnosing it yourself?
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.—Philip K. Dick
Looking at the crash log, the crash seems to happen while printing statictext(ident2), which appears to only be used for trains and nowhere else. Puzzling.
[edit]Bah, I somehow thought the crash log was for Korenn's report.
To Slayer: sorry, the crash log didn't tell me much after all, I guess I'll need the savegame, ttdpatch.cfg and newgrfw.cfg as well.

Ive had it since A48. If a train waits too long trying to leave a station, it will reverse itself into the PBS block, select another platform thats free and go round again. If all the platforms are full it just picks the one next to it and prompty crashes into the train thats there.
thats strange as well. But in my case, the one train enters from the one side, and at the same time on the other side the train aproaches the signal. it waits for a short while, and as soon as the other one has stoped at the platforms, he just passes the signal and CRASH. It doesn't wait long at the signal, so no way the signalwaittime is exeeded.

I wasn't diagnosing, but perhaps jumping to a conclusion...
what happened:
I tried to get tile information of (I think it was) the bottom most tile of the Osaka castle out in the middle of nowhere, using the latest jpset grf.
Then, within an amount of time that made it seem instantly, the game crashed terminally (windows pop-up). There was no crash log.
my conf file:
[edit] PS: I just tried it again, same result instantly. Generated a new game using jpset, tried to get tile info on a castle's bottom most tile, game crash.

Known bug.. I already reported it (see few pages back or PBS-topic)
