it's very good scrat, but i'm wondering if the dutch had steam engines or any other types (diesel, electric) from the 1900 and up. because i always start in 1900 on locomotion because the stuff are cheeper then and it's easier for me to start my company from then, and when i was looking through your vehicles list, and i've found that there's no steam engines or trains, when you start at 1900, so if there is any trains from 1900 could you add them into your nl pack please.

i would be very greatful. thank you. :D

also if there is any steam engines or trains from 1900 then i can help you to find infomation about them,(eg. speed, weight, horse power etc.).

although i agree with you, i know that asking for steam engines is the same as wearing a tutu and spinning the second waltz to get some ice cream. it's not going to happen.

No previews of the NL region. Well, in its thread I have posted (half a year ago) some proof of concept pictures.
So long and thanks for all the fish.

I think the maglev in NS yellow looks awesome!!
But is it possible to do the same in the new NS livery? (the livery used by the 2900 series "Sprinter") :D

Nice work guys!

Now that I'm in a stats updating mood anyway, I was wondering whether these are correct:

Plan W Passenger Carriage
1966 - 1990
87 mph, 29 tonnes
88 passengers

ICK Passenger Carriage
2002 -
87 mph, 38 tonnes
72 passengers

ICR Passenger Carriage
1982 -
100 mph, 41 tonnes
80 passengers

IC+ Passenger Carriage
2003 -
102 mph, 40 tonnes
85 passengers
So long and thanks for all the fish.

Agreed, I think the new Sprinter livery are the new company colors of the NS, and probably it's more realistic using those.

Besides, the light blue diagonal stripes are used for regional trains ("stoptreinen"), where maglev probably will function as InterCities. Those trains have a darkblue stripe over the windows, over the full lenght of the train (as the ICM "Koploper", IRM "RegioRunner" and the IC Coaches have).

scrat once stated there will be one livery per vehicle, since more liveries would require more vehicle slots.

I am talking of replacing the current livery because it doesn't make much sense IMO.

Or, when scrat doesn't want to change the livery, he can also use my comments for any new MagLevs

Oppie is in charge of the liveries. He does the renders, he determines the liveries. I agree with regards to the colours of any future material, but then again, in this future the NS might have changed its mind with regards to the colour scheme. ;-)

I have experimented with putting the 'intercity' livery onto the maglev train, but the blue band on the windows is almost indistinguishable from the black band that is the windows. In the end the 'stoptrein' livery looked much cooler, so I decided to go with that.

Let's just say the NS decided to go with the old 'stoptrein' livery for nostalgia reasons. (And if that's not convincing enough, I'll make up another reason)

I'll take your advice though and use a different livery for the other maglevs. I was planning to make cargo maglevs in the Railion livery.

Speaking of the maglev train designs; I'm making a few that are based on actual TransRapid designs for the early Maglev years and some custom designed ones for the later years (post 2010?).

The Maglevs are really looking good! I assume this means that there is some Maglev track being produced ( :D ) Can it be raised off the ground on pylons (one of the bridge types?) and will there be points? Will it replace or modify any of the files already in the game, or does it have completely independent files?

Maglevs will be such a great addition to the game - I am so excited (P.S Well done Scrat and Oppie for everything that you are doing, you have brought Locomotion to life!)

Here some verified stats from my books.
ICK 44 ton 72 passengers + 3 seats on the balcony.
ICR 41 ton 80 passengers +12 seats on the balcony.
Bds 44 ton 52 passengers +17 seats on the balcony.

About the livery:
The new sprinter has the new Sprinter (all station train) livery.
For about the intercity services i saw years ago a drawing of that.
For what i can remember, it was for the biggest part N.S. blue with white accents.
The last time there are some investigations about what are the safest colors for trains, considering railroad workers.
Latest what i've heard is that yellow is the best color.
So it might be possible that the colors stay the same as they are now.
