I am in the process of creating buildings for the Polish package, together with others we want to develop Polish buildings to the level of the Japanese set.

Downscaling a 3D model (or maybe even a photo) and changing the perspective to fit the OpenTTD world is one thing and a matter of personal taste whether or not you like those kind of graphics.
I will refrain from voicing my opinion about that (although its probably clear ;-) )
However, when you post these images to hopefully get them coded, do make sure that they are usable:

As you can see, the blue is not a uniform color (which it should be), this makes it impossible for the actual graphic to be "cut out" when it is coded, as not all of the blue will then become transparent.
In the image I have selected one blue color, you can see how much other different blues are scattered around in the image.

Furthermore, because of the resizing/reshaping, the pixels on the edges of the actual image have gotten some level of transparency and/or have blended in with the blue surroundings.
If this image ever gets coded, you will see some kind of blue line around it, it will look awful ingame.



So, when using this technique to make your images, be sure that you dont do it with a blue surrounding (so fully transparent surrounding is advised) and check that the pixels on the edges dont have any level of transparency anymore. After that, add the completely uniform blue surrounding.
At the moment the finished product is not usable for coding...

I'll second to this. There are many down scaling artifacts present that make coding as it is impossible. Most importantly anti aliasing artifacts on the edges. Background and objects should be down scaled separately to avoid this. Also edges of the objects should be cleaned of semitransparent pixels.

If you want some help with down scaling then you could sent me some higher resolution images in private, or post them here.

Quast65 I understand how the blue background works, and I assure you that the images thrown here are after compression, and the right graphics are written without a blue background. Of course, I don't like the end result yet, but it is easier for me to work on such a prepared base and it is faster. Thank you for your comments, they will be useful and a piece of work for coding.
So the imperfections you catch are a stupid program, transparent fragments to be amended.

Luxtram regarding scaling artifacts, I try to exclude strange pixels browsing one by one. I am only known, but another right attention to look at again.
