Polish Stations Set

Hello there!

I will be grateful for critical comments and suggestions. Finally, after so many years of watching how the game dies, and then becomes a phoenix, I decided to give a little from myself and from Poland. In other topics we will start with the rest of Poland. I would like to see them later on your screenshots. More soon.

I have no idea about coding NewGRFs, but i know how to use GIMP:

Polish people says that Warsaw need 4 platforms (hide under main building like subway stations. At this moment im fighting with Poznań Główny and Łódź Fabryczna. Pics Soon.

I agree that Warszawa Centralna should get a treatment similar to subway stations. Unfortunately underground railways are not the strengths of OpenTTD, but we can probably fake it

Looking forward to seeing these stations in game!
For Warsaw, you can make the whole building elevated above the platforms and build the whole station in a trench. Add roads or objects along the side to make the illusion of an underground station.

Stacje wyglądają świetnie. Planujesz też zwykłe perony i może mniejsze dworce?

Odnośnie grafik stacji, które pokazałeś...

Warszawa Centralna
Myślę, że nie byłoby źle, gdybyś nieco podniósł dach i odsłonił trochę elewację. Dla osób, które nie widziały tej stacji, grafika może się wydawać zbyt płaska. Ale nawet dla tych, którzy widzieli, patrząc z wysokości ulicy widzisz głównie elewację + dach, a tutaj jest właściwie tylko dach. Myślę, że lekkie przekłamanie proporcji wyszłoby na dobre.
Czwarty peron mógłby być też jako osobny element dodawany z dowolnej strony. Umożliwiłoby to też dodawanie kolejnych peronów jaki i przedłużanie stacji.
To co mogłoby być przydatne dla takich podziemnych stacji to jakieś nakładające się obiekty (1x 1+2/3)

Gdańsk Główny
Trochę cieżko jest ocenić detale, bo jpg trochę je rozmazało. Porównując ze zdjęciami (dawno nie byłem w Gdańsku i już nie pamiętam tego na żywo) dach wydaje się zbyt ciemny. Nie wiem, może kiedyś tak to wyglądało, ale obecnie jest ceramiczny i raczej dość jasny. Poza tym przydałby się widok od strony zewnętrznej.

Wrocław Główny
Budynek bez zastrzeżeń, ale te trawiaste górki... pewnie sam wiesz. Poza tym myślę, że mogłyby być osobnymi elementami, które można by było dowolnie układać nie tylko jako element tego dworca.

The stations look great. Are you also planning regular platforms and maybe smaller stations?

Regarding the station graphics you showed...

Warszawa Centralna
I think it wouldn't be bad if you raised the roof a bit and revealed the elevation a bit. For people who haven't seen this station, the graphics might seem too flat. But even for those who have, looking from the street level you mainly see the elevation + roof, and here it's basically just the roof. I think a slight distortion of proportions would be good.
The fourth platform could also be a separate element added from any side. This would also allow adding more platforms and extending the station.
What could be useful for such underground stations are some overlapping objects (1x 1+2/3)

Gdańsk Główny
It's a bit hard to judge the details, because the jpg has blurred them a bit. Comparing to the photos (I haven't been to Gdańsk for a long time and I don't remember it in real life) the roof seems too dark. I don't know, maybe it used to look like that, but currently it's ceramic and rather light. Besides, a view from the outside would be useful.

Wrocław Główny
The building is beyond reproach, but those grassy mounds... you probably know yourself. Besides, I think they could be separate elements that could be arranged freely not only as an element of this station.

I'm inspired by Dutch set (Amsterdam Main), so main buildings better look solid or in one piece (perhaps only building of Wrocław Główny).
About Warsaw, I'll try do something with that (thanks for advise), also Gdańsk.

And yes, small modular platforms, and other beautiful polish stations. Maybe randomly modular buildings, we'll see, now Poznan Main.

P.S. I'm sweeting when somebody says about two sides of this...

Are you planning to incorporate any historical architectural elements from Polish train stations into your design, or will you focus on a more modern interpretation?
