[OTTD] Buckethead screenies!
Decided to post my screenshots, because I finally managed to make something big...
NLTC is my company, it stands for NetherLands Transport Company. My main hub is Amsterdamo although Utrecht has grown bigger....
Amsterdamo station and others... In the last pic you notice Rotterdam, which has two fast lines for Amsterdamo and Utrecht and a normal line. The fast trains run on a raised above ground track.

Re: [OTTD] Buckethead screenies!
I just hate it when my hub city doesn't grow! Any suggestions?...
Re: [OTTD] Buckethead screenies!
Maybe you replaced seed tile (under city name) with station?

Re: [OTTD] Buckethead screenies!
If the seed tile of a city is not a building or road the city will cease to grow and eventually dissapear all together.

Re: [OTTD] Buckethead screenies!
The only needed thing is seed tile (as road only tile) connected (by road) with area for town growth.

I always have the same problem when building a large station in the middle of a city/town.
Where are the seed tile(s) exactly located? (I tried looking this up but couldn't find anything)

For reference, open a new game. Any town will have a piece of road right under the city name. Touch that tile and the city stops growing. Leave it be and you are fine. I think a bus stop on that road will also affect it..
My Scenarios:
Archipiélago Hermoso (Latest Release: Version 3.2)
Turnpike Falls (Latest Release: Version 0.91)

Whatever. Trains always leave 100% loaded, can't complain that much..
A question for mac users: what profram do you use to easily re-size screenshots?

Re: [OTTD] Buckethead screenies!
I have a problem and I'd appreciate some help.
In this picture there are two cities, separated by sea and some land. I would like to carry passengers from one city to the other, in a realist way.
I would like a ship to load passengers from the red arrow, transfer them to the yellow arrow, load passengers that arrive from the green arrow station and bring them to the red arrow.
I've tried to do so but I can't find a way for the train to unload the passengers to the dock and then load the ones coming by ship from the other city.

If i'm not mistaken this is only possible with a distribution patch like yacd or cargodist.

Might work with 2 stations?
Not sure, never really tried stuff like that.
Boat goes to unload passengers at station A, then loads them at station B, then goes back to the other town.

Re: [OTTD] Buckethead screenies!
Problem solved in an unstylish manner: first train gets passengers from station and transfers them without to the dock, first boat picks up passengers and goes to other dock without loading, second boat loads and transfers passengers to the other dock without loading, then second train picks up the passengers and brings them to the city, without loading.
