Disabling Graphics

Discuss, get help with, or post new graphics for TTDPatch and OpenTTD, using the NewGRF system, here. Graphics for plain TTD also acceptable here.

Disabling Graphics

Can somebody please tell me how to disable graphics so that they are off by default in the menu instead of on. eg. i want to be able to turn them on myself instead of off

Dunno if that's possible, but adding a # in front of the name in newgrf.cfg disables them. But I don't think they're still enable-able (whatever) in the menu.

wasn't there additional parameter "!" - added after the name in newgrf[w].cfg makes file disabled by default but with possibility to turn on during gameplay
what are you looking at? it's a signature!

Adding an exclamation mark ! at the end of each grf's line in the configuration file should do it.
EXAMPLE:

Code: Select all

newgrf/DBSETXLW.GRF !
would cause the db set to appear with a red flag which can be set to green while in the game.
The # at the beginning causes them to not appear at all.
