In the newgrf selection menu, when you have newstations selected you should press "toggle palette" This should fix the pink pixels.reyasem wrote: ↑15 May 2020 11:49 Hi everyone. A new guy here.
So, im using the new station grf but there are pink pixels in a lot of the buildings like some texture is missing. Maybe i need to download something before trying it? Or maybe need to update my game? But i just downloaded the game less than a month ago, surely it should be okay, no?

It's unclickable. The "set parameters" button works, and toggle palette button is also clickable in other newgrf, but not this one.
Thanks for the quick reply, btw
Re: Michael Blunck's new graphics [http://www.ttdpatch.de/]
I forgot to mention that i havent downloaded the ttdpatch 2.6 (r2360) or open ttd r24905, because i have no idea where to get them.
I tried to use the downloadable link in ttdpatch.net front page but i got "invalid cfg line" and well i dont know where to go from there.

Re: Michael Blunck's new graphics [http://www.ttdpatch.de/]
you do not need r2360 or r24905 it works just fine in the current openttd version. The > means that a version newer than the one mentioned is needed
Re: Michael Blunck's new graphics [http://www.ttdpatch.de/]
If you downloaded the version for OpenTTD/TTD Patch for DOS, then you need to change the palette to "Default (D)" in the NewGRF configuration using the "Toggle Palette" button. If you downloaded the version for TTD Patch for Windows, then you need to delete that and install the version for OpenTTD instead.reyasem wrote: ↑15 May 2020 11:49 Hi everyone. A new guy here.

Using the dos version works, good god, so ive been using the wrong version all this time. I have spent literal hours googling and trying to fix this thing till i give up and went here for advice.kamnet wrote: ↑15 May 2020 23:29

Thank you so much, everyone.
So, when provided with the option to download for Dos or for Windows, i guess i should try the former if the latter doesn't work properly, eh? I have one more newgrf with similar problem, i guess ill try the dos option.
Once again, thanks everyone.

Yes, they are. In 0.9, UIC standard coaches (~27 meters) are shown with a length of 48 px. See

Thanks for the reply, even if it is somewhat unfortunate for me as I prefer the original TTD lengths for trains that older versions had (but there still is the current DBset XL)... But I understand the realscale argument, and I don't expect you to change that after years of work on DBset 0.9
Otherwise, they they are up to a level of perfection that we learned to expect from you

I'm so curious what you will come up with in the future. Are there any new updates on your projects?

Nothing new released yet. But of course there's always some additional work on NewStations and MariCo. Main focus now is on completion of DBXL 0.9's freight section. There will be some 60 carefully balanced types of wagons, with about 80% already in existance. Here's the list:

I sincerely hope other graphics authors do not feel offended when I say that this is probably the most eagerly awaited graphics set update around.michael blunck wrote: ↑23 Apr 2021 08:03

Just wonder if the first wagon of the most basic categories (open, closed, flat, livestock and tank wagon) could be made available earlier, even if this is not historically correct? I think these would blend nicely e.g. with the Dutch Trainset locos, where some engines are available from 1860 or so and a good choice for very early year gameplay.
Another thing that would most certainly get all "Steeltown afficionados" totally excited, I guess, would be a "Torpedopfannenwagen" (torpedo or bottle car) to move molten pig iron from your blast furnace to steel plant
I've seen such graphics somewhere a long time ago but unfortunately do not remember anymore in which graphics set.
Re: Michael Blunck's new graphics [http://www.ttdpatch.de/]
Hello. It' s my first post.
I used Michael Blunck's signals GRF about 6-7 years ago in OpenTTD 1.4 and 1.5.
Today I have a problem.
Recently, I wanted to reinstall it. Unfortunately, files from grfcrawler and ttdpatch are not visible for OpenTTD version 1.9 and higher.
A few years ago the add-ons worked after activation in the newgrf menu.
What could be the problem?
I wanted to enable OpenTTD with signalsw.grf only.
Could I request the signalsw.grf and elrailsw.grf files to be made available for download again?
Sorry for my English. I wrote this text with the help of Google Translator.

Hello
Tschö, Auge
Michaels NewGRFs was never available in the ingame download. You have (and already had) to put them by hand into the folder "newgrf" of your OpenTTD folder (somewhere in your user profile on your computer). You should be able to download Michaels work from ttdpatch.de.gustlik wrote: ↑27 Apr 2021 10:34 I used Michael Blunck's signals GRF about 6-7 years ago in OpenTTD 1.4 and 1.5.

I was told to ask my question I had on the FIRS 4.0.1 site here:
Is there a way to make the DBSet compatible with FIRS 4.0.1?

Re: Michael Blunck's new graphics [http://www.ttdpatch.de/]
Well, I've already expanded the set's timeline back beyond 1920 (foundation of the German Imperial Railway), and I'm hesitant to shift it further back into the "Länderbahn" era.ebla71 wrote: Just wonder if the first wagon of the most basic categories (open, closed, flat, livestock and tank wagon) could be made available earlier, even if this is not historically correct?
But since those early wagons you mentioned are all of type "Verbandsbauart", their origin could well be of the German State Railway Wagon Association (1909), or even of the Prussian State Railway Wagon Association (1881), and not mention anything about their historic ownership.
The only problem with some of those very early wagons would be their reduced lengths, of only 8 meters.
Well, special wagons (tank wagons, refrigerated) were almost all being introduced by private companies, and strictly speaking wouldn't be part of a "DB Set". OTOH, there's a clear need for reefers and tank wagons, so these have been included. But IMO, this does not hold for torpedo or ladle cars, which would be used completely outside the realm of a stately railway (DRG, DB), but rather in-plant.ebla71 wrote: Another thing that would most certainly get all "Steeltown afficionados" totally excited, I guess, would be a "Torpedopfannenwagen" (torpedo or bottle car) to move molten pig iron from your blast furnace to steel plant
Are you refering to the old set? In this case you'd have to write a (new) FIRS extension.Fraenklie wrote: Is there a way to make the DBSet compatible with FIRS 4.0.1?
For v0.9 I don't know yet. I had already modified its freight scheme to fit FIRS's needs for a couple of times over the years, and there will be a final decision at the very end of this project.

Well, as long as there is no "New Set" I need to be satisfied and play with the "Old" one. Is there anyone who has written such a FRIS extention? I've tried tried some other trainsets, but there is nothing like the DBSet
And I just can't believe no one ever tried to play the current FIRS 4.0.1 with the DBSet.

Re: Michael Blunck's new graphics [http://www.ttdpatch.de/]
A separate set of wagons - 2ccwagons set - as an addition to the DB set could help? I use this set whenever some trains do not have full support.
Edit: I tested it briefly, and it looks OK. It is possible that people use it routinely, so no one has written about this problem yet

Re: Michael Blunck's new graphics [http://www.ttdpatch.de/]
Not necessarily, as far as I know there were torpedo trains in service around Gelsenkirchen which were hauled over DB tracks, I believe usually by a V60. There might have been more of those. But obviously they're extremely short-haul.But IMO, this does not hold for torpedo or ladle cars, which would be used completely outside the realm of a stately railway (DRG, DB), but rather in-plant.
Re: Michael Blunck's new graphics [http://www.ttdpatch.de/]
Hello sir!
I know this is a rather old issue, but in your most excellent NewShips GRF you can't get the Daewoo Car Carrier in Arctic/Alpine-climate (you get the Reefer instead).
By ploughing through some old posts, I read that there was a fix for TTD-Patch (making changes in a Newgrf.txt).
Is there a sort of similar fix for OpenTTD?
Kind regards

Re: Michael Blunck's new graphics [http://www.ttdpatch.de/]
I don't remember. In fact, the mentioned behaviour was originally due to a limitation of ship IDs in TTDPatch. Although, I don't remember whether that limitation had been overcome in NewShips v0.48.
