Europe 1990 Abandoned...

I think there's no other Europe map for Locomotion, so I'm going to make one.

Please give comments so I can make my map better.

I'm going to make it in 1990, then I don't have to think about Russia and Germany etc.

Began with Portugal and Spain, only modelled Portugal so far.

I don't like the river very much, think I'm going to change it.

Oh, and I don't know the types of industries in Spain and Portugal, who knows?

Project abandoned, because of a stupid mistake of me. I reinstalled Locomotion on another drive, and by uninstalling totally forgot Europe :(

So all work for nothing... :(

Will come a new map soon btw ;)

Some update:

I looked for industries on the internet, and saw most industries are in the north, such as Chemicals, Oil and Cars.

So in the south you wouldn't find industries, except one iron ore mine.

This looks really good so far - what climate is it set in? I'm asking because of all the sand I can see there in Spain and Algeria...

The detail and care that's gone into Spain really shows :o

It sure looks good, but I'm afraid with this size of spain, not a big part of europe will fit in the map. Or am I wrong?

In the north of Spain (Asturias) the mining industry predominates.
Also there is cattle ranch and agriculture in the rest of Spain.

I think it might get as far as Poland in the east, depending on how big that Spain is... I could be wrong. Suffice to say trains will be slightly longer than France on this map :twisted:

Yeah, I realise that, its too small :cry: :twisted: Anyone knows if there is a mod which make the land bigger?

So it will only be the western part I think, till around Poland indeed. And the height will be to the southern part of Scandinavia, but above that, it isn't very interesting anymore.

I took the North American climate with snow, think that is the climate with the most different layers. And maybe I'm going to change the sand in Spain.

Why Not Realise Small Amounts Of Maps and then make a map pack till a mod comes out this will be a good idea

A mod will not come out, since it's not allowed to edit/patch/mod LoMo, AFAIK.

Even if someone makes a mod, he'll only be allowed to use it for own use.

At least, AFAIK.

Also, it would be insanely difficult. And as Patchman is working on ttd, there's no chance of that happening ;)

Still the biggest B*ull**** i heared. Every game prohibit altering the .exe file. Even if its 11 years old. And that game is even downloadable from this server.
