Re: [OpenTTD] NuTracks - Dev Thread
i do have plan to make 3 different version (or were it 4?) of this set, configurable by parameter, se a few pages back
Re: [OpenTTD] NuTracks - Dev Thread
Allong the lines of different versions do you plan to do a parameter option or alternate grf to disable tracks with different speed limits for a simpler more relaxed game and just have regular rail, erail, monorail, maglev, 3rd rail, e-3rd rail and posibly narrow gauge, planning and subway? (all with no speed limit)

Hi,
Has anyone noticed that you get more money from converting high speed tracks to low speed tracks than if you just remove them? Might want to fix this...

Re: [OpenTTD] NuTracks - Dev Thread
the high speed rail bed look a little bit too dark...

Check out some of my work
Re: [OpenTTD] NuTracks - Dev Thread
I'm using NuTracks for the first time in a game. The year is 2010 and the only trainset I'm using is DBSetXL. Why are the "Low Speed (w/ catenary) (120km/h)"-tracks disabled? I searched the forums and this thread, but I couldn't find any readme or anything other helpful...
Sorry if that was discussed already before.
Edit: I got NuTracks via BaNaNaS today, so it has to be the latest version, I guess.

No, nothing yet except 2cc set.
The track enablers are still missing and have to be implemented in all other sets (NARS, UKRS, Japan set...)

Re: [OpenTTD] NuTracks - Dev Thread
I've wondered what you could've intended to. Finally, you say NuTracks only supports the 2cc-set in full? Jeez, it's hard to get a kind of "readme" out of the thread, there's a lot of scattered information around here.Voyager1 wrote: See this:

Re: [OpenTTD] NuTracks - Dev Thread
Hello,
I have the OTTD Cargodist Version r18412M, and have one of the GRF downloaded, he say it's ok, but i can't build with Speed-Limit. Dosen't work it on my OpenTransport Tycon Version?
Best regards
Thorsten

You might want to get a version of Cargodist patched against a more resent OTTD release.ThorstenHH wrote:Hello,

That I have don't understand
Re: [OpenTTD] NuTracks - Dev Thread
What he's saying is that your OpenTTD version is too old. Railtypes is only supported since r18969 and Nutracks probably even requires at least r19307.

Re: [OpenTTD] NuTracks - Dev Thread
Now I know this was mentioned before, probably in the planning on NuTracks, but with regards to a Rack Rail for Narrow Gauge rails, is this possible? I mean, I have got as far as imagining it to be a seperate rail type, with probably half the top speed of normal NG rails (~45mph), but I am stuck as to how you could create the illusion that it is helping the loco up/down the hill?
Heck, I might even draw some gfx for it

Nice idea, but railtypes doesn't allow to change the tractive effort of the train.jake.grimshaw wrote:Now I know this was mentioned before, probably in the planning on NuTracks, but with regards to a Rack Rail for Narrow Gauge rails, is this possible?
