You go the to repair/fix
You need to post your savegame and config for the devs to fix it...

The latest revision of the nightly patch is crashing every time I attempt to start a new game, or load a previous game. Rolling back to r1446 doesn't fix the problem, but r1446 was working before the update.

I think what CPCNMAN007 means is that the savegame and configs are the same as the ones he submitted for his station loading problem in this thread:

http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... sc&start=0

Note that that problem was resolved and his current one reported here seems to be unrelated other than it happened after the station loading fix.

I have the same problem when i try to activate grf's...however, even though ttdx says it's 1447, it's actually 1445. r1446 worked perfectly fine before i tried to 'upgrade' :?

Right so if this isn't affecting on TTDXC users then a manual instal of 1446 or 1447 or whatever the latest one is might fix the problem? I'll see what happens and edit this post with results.

EDIT: That doesn't solve anything at all. Manual installs of r1446 and r1447 both have exactly the same problem. Is anyone else having these issues? Has a dev had a look at the crashlogs yet?

EDIT2: I've rolled all the way back to the beta and that isn't working at all, so it's clearly not the patch exe file that's causing the problems, one of the other files in the patch directory must have been corrupted by TTDXC or r1447. Any suggestions anyone?

This is just a guess, but have you tried deleting TTDLOADW.OVL and letting the patch rebuild it?

Had the same problem as before I disabled the mandatorygrm bit of the experimentalfeatures switch.

Maybe that will fix it for others too.

I still get a "conflicted version" message on startup, before the patch builds the TTDLOADW.OVL. I've yet to track that one. Ideas?

Long time no patch for me, but I got into the nightlies lately. Version 1449 gives me random CTD's, no crashlog.
Save, config and graphic config attached.

Everything has worked fine for years (game years :P) with the previous nightly.

Ah yes, no chrachlog. I wanted to say that.
It also crashes pretty fast, usually within a minute.

Apologies for this crash, debugging is occuring even as I type :)
It seems that this is caused by town expansion.
Somehow it is getting through the sanity checks.
I will commit a fix before the end of the day (hopefully).

If you are in Debug mood and still have time, don't forget the crash of the lists: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?p=562613#562613

The crash was caused by an incorrect assumption of the caller exclusivity of a TTD function (GetTunnelOtherEnd by TraceRouteStep), whilst it is in fact also called by the town expansion function code.
Some sanity checks appear to have fixed the problem.

Oskar - I'll have a look at that. Though perhaps not absolutely immediately, dinner calls...

JGR thanks for the new enhanced tunnel possiblities. :D
Sadly they aren't perfect yet.

The graintrain reserves a piece of track which already is reserved by the goodstrain.

Rob: Thanks for pointing out this bug.
I am adding some code, and waiting for it to (finally) finish compiling for testing.
I'll probably commit a fix for this soon.

Problem with the Enhanced tunnels, the train refuses to enter the tile above the tunnel; see screenshot.
It might have something to do with the fact that they are different track types?

I can attach a save game if necessary (I have to recreate the situation though)
