But none of the links work...
Are you sure they do not work?
Have you tried changing to the Original graphics baseset instead of OpenGFX to see if they show up?

If that works, I can explain how to get them to work with the OpenGFX basesets, by extracting the tars in data/sprites and renaming the folders, but I do not have the time right now to explain in more detail and I will not be back before tonight.

Actually the problems was with the links themself. (jupix.info or something), It's actually still giving some problems.

I got some downloaded now, and now I'm experiencing the problems you're describing; They're not showing up. I do not have the original set available, only OpenGFX.

Some are not showing up in the list.

I downloaded "New 32 bpp bridges" and put this beneath data, and activated it (this one did show up), but the bridges were still old...

Another thing: What does all those small letters with "X" and "V" mean on the wiki site? I can't see the letters, they are too small.

Latest update:

Installed 'openttd-32bpp-ez-1.1.0-windows-win64' then copied '32bit-gfx-nightly-megapack-2011-05-04' and '32bpp_extra-nightly-r40' to the datafolder. I of course also copied opengfx and opensfx to this folder.

After that, I downloaded 'fullpack_12-03-10', removed the older extra nightly, and copied the rest of the tars to Data.

The only bug I've found yet, is that the bus was red when going straight north, while my company color was blue. That's the only thing!

I guess the best thing would be to keep updating this fullpack. 'fullpack_12-03-10' is to old, half a year now. I guess the bus has been fixed meantime, and I bet there are some newer buildings as well.

If someone needs help maintaining this pack, or wants someone else to keep updating it, PM me with some instructions, and I'll do what I can to help. :D

BTW, 32bpp_extra-nightly-r40.zip download is extremly slow for now, so I build it myself from sources, and you can download 32bpp_extra-nightly-r41.zip with .tar in it or 32bpp_extra-nightly-r41.tar directly from my dropbox.

It won't work with OpenTTD 1.2.0 or newer.

Seems like that, I can't get 32bbp graphics on my Ubuntu and 1.2.1. It's compiled from latest sources, equals to r40 (named r41 just to make the different filename) - what can you suggest?

Wait until the graphics get included in a OGFX+ * grf, basically, as the way 32bpp graphics are loaded in OTTD 1.2.x has changed, and the old way will not work anymore

Could anyone please direct my to a recent and up-to-date list/site where I can download all the necessary files to get 32bit graphics for a clean download of OpenTTD 1.2.1 win 32bit? Most information on google is out of date and I can't seem to find anything very recent on this.

There is not much available in newgrf format (yet). You can find some trains in opengfx(+), and some terrain in http://dev.openttdcoop.org/projects/32bpp/files

Hi

My problem is that when I put the .tar files into the 'data' folder, nothing displays in game, for OpenTTD 1.2.1.

Note: I am unsure in which data folder it must be placed. I make a folder on my desktop, say OpenTTD32bit, where I copy the 1.2.1 installation, or alternatively the 1.1.0 ez, along with the graphics files needed from the original TT game. In here I make a data folder in which I place all the .tar files, and also under documents in the OTTD folder. I use Windows 7.

I downloaded the openttd-32bpp-ez-1.1.0-windows-win32 and with this version I do get some 32bit graphics, but not everything, although I am sure not everything has been re-drawn for 32bit. Along with this 1.1.0 ez version I use the following .tar files:
- 32bpp_extra-nightly.tar
- 32bit-gfx-nightly-megapack-2012-03-19

I am unsure of the following:
Whether or not I must extract the 32bbp_extra.grf from the .tar and if I have to, where do I place it?
I saw a few .png images inside the 32bbp_extra.tar file in the sprites folder, a different road graphic, how do I get that to override the road graphic from the 32bit-gfx-nightly-megapack-2012-03-19, as this road looks more realistic in my opinion.

So...to make this more comprehendable: I cannot get 32bit graphics to work in 1.2.1 at all, and when I use the 1.1.0 ez version I do not understand how to overwrite/replace sprites, if that is what its called. Also downloading other 32bit tar files for eg, bus_depot and placing them in the data folder does not produce the depot in game.

If anyone could please enlighten me that would be great.

The graphics that work in the 1.1.0 ez version do not work in regular OpenTTD 1.2.x and vice versa.
Both game versions require 32 bit graphics to be in a different file format.
