I really like the new footbridge, great job scaling it down and making it look nice, Quast!

Re: Dutch Station Addition Set, version 0.7 released on Bana
Thnx!
I gave it a roof and it's colors (could use a bit of texturing, will work on that), is it recognisable as a Dutch footbridge?

Great bridge, way better than the original bridge form the set.

Agreed. It's super! As someone who has visited Hilversum-Noord and Bussum-Zuid a few times, I immediately recognize it, I love it.jor[D]1 wrote:Great bridge,
Disagreed. There's no 'better' bridge. The original bridge was drawn with the hallbridge of Amersfoort in mind. The original bridge still suits better for bigger stations. It's supposed to be bigger, and to allow having two bridges connected to each other, forming a wide bridge with stairs on both sides, similar to Amersfoort.way better than the original bridge form the set.
These three pictures show that the bridge is quite big in real life too.
There's nothing 'bad' about the original bridge. It's a different scale. These new bridges would be insufficient for a station like Amersfoort, or any decent sized station where people transfer trains.
EDIT: Quast, is it possible to also make a variant with the stairs on the other side?

The old bridge it self isn't ugly, but the colors of the original bridge aren't right, it doesn't match the stations.

That is my problem with it too.jor[D]1 wrote:The old bridge it self isn't ugly, but the colors of the original bridge aren't right, it doesn't match the stations.

Feel free to adjust the colors
I believe 's-Hertogenbosch has a similar sized footbridge, but in an older style than Amersfoort does. May be a nice addition too.
And I guess we could use an older style tunnel too.

Re: Dutch Station Addition Set, version 0.7 released on Bana
Thnx for all the positive comments!
I'll see if I can recolor the big overpass in a way that it matches the stations a bit more. I think that changing the orange pillars to blue and toning down the bright colors of the openings might do the trick.
EDIT:
A tough cookie to crumble, that footbridge
There were some errors in the previous drawing, the poles holding up the bridge were not aligned to each other, the stairs going up to the island-entrance were not steep enough and the side going down to the platform closest to the viewer also had the wrong steepness. I think I did it right now.
Regarding Purno's question about adding the other view (backside so to say), I've drawn an access on the other side. Only the one on the close platform is visible, the others would be obstructed from view by the part of the footbridge that goes over the tracks. Because of that I think it is not really interesting in a graphical view to draw those seperately, so I think this is the best option (also saves some station-ID's).

Re: Dutch Station Addition Set, version 0.7 released on Bana
That bridge is splendid! I've got one request: Could you make it island style too, so it skips two tracks? That would be awesome!
Respect for your great work, gonna download this straight away to test it!

Re: Dutch Station Addition Set, version 0.7 released on Bana
As said earlier, this set is great, it's so modular!
I created a dutch station... See if you can see which one. The trains are accurate.

Always nice to see the set being used
By the way Megatrain, I'm not able to see your shot.
Some screenies of the finished footbridge: The non-platformed part is also available as waypoint.

Fixed!Quast65 wrote:By the way Megatrain, I'm not able to see your shot.
The bridge looks amazing! One thing: When it crosses "just" two tracks it doesn't have supports. Could you also make a version with removed poles? For the rest: Great work and keep it coming!

Re: Dutch Station Addition Set, version 0.7 released on Bana
no, it's not fixed

can you not simply upload it here >_<

Strange, I can see it!

Re: Dutch Station Addition Set, version 0.7 released on Bana
A good suggestion! I altered the graphics I made: Furthermore, Caelan gave me very kind permission to use more of his graphicsOne thing: When it crosses "just" two tracks it doesn't have supports. Could you also make a version with removed poles?

So with some repainting and altering I came up with these:
Modern overpass (for stations like Utrecht) Dark shelter (with tinted glass effect, they are see-thru)
