Ah, lovely :-) It makes me look forward to more :-)

Maybe I should re-open that ticket concerning the toyland sprites?

For a start I exchanged the Ploddyphut for the new sprites (and the topic is declared re-opened). It will be found in the next nightly:

The remainder of the Toyland locos. I changed the Powernaut Choo Choo and the Ploddyphut Diesel a bit from my preview.

All are below.

Edit:

Here's a thought for the boats. How about basing them on the very old, but very iconic, telly show TUGS (call it "Salty's Lighthouse" and I may slaughter people ;) ) :

They remind me a hell of a lot of Thomas the Tank Engine... same maker?
Hmm, what should I put here...

Correct, David Mitton was actually involved in both projects and some of those models were actually converted for use in later episodes of Thomas. :)

Incoming Delivery of Toyland Road Vehicles :D

Even though the graphics for all generations of Toyland Vehs is the same, do we want different appearances for each one? (Code it in Extras with the Tropic stuff?) - Wouldn't be 'that' much work now that they're already drawn - I already have the older cabs ready for grafting

They look perfect...

And yes, the extra vehicle graphics would be perfect for the base vehicle set expansion.

I've been a bit bored recently, and finally completed the old UK signals, which have been on my website for bloomin ages (last May was the last time I visited them!). I want to propose that these could be used as improvements over the current ones, which I believe are MBs, and are very dated!

On these ones, the arms on such semaphores go down for green rather than up, which reflects them as they should be in older times.

With PBS, I have added a second distant arm to indicate they are pre-signals. If these are too tall, I can create some that are the same height as existing signals.

Also, I promise to support these semaphores through any signal specification changes ever made to the trunk!

Sorry if this is retreading old ground, it's just I'm trying to see if I can't get any of my older work into projects.

That's a dangerous promise... Imagine you get trouble tomorrow, or you get sick, and you can't update them anymore (or if the game goes on evolving after you die), I will sue you and your children

Jokes apart, they look nice. Though they are not my main concern for the game, I nearly always use non-semaphore PBS signals...
I am little, ugly, and nasty. How do you do?

Boo!

Attached is the fixed newspaper, the cusom headline should fall nicely in the gap with this. Will need chopping (and possibly palconvering).

I will also take this chance to remind everyone that sprites to fix the ugly structure recolour bug are available to code; see here: http://dev.openttdcoop.org/issues/669

Some new toyland engines thanks to DanMacK. The alignment isn't yet finalized as I'm reworking that also for the wagons. The Powernaut Cho Cho has its sprites shared with a temperate engine, it will need special love.

I think I have reported this before in one of my threads, but is this roof problem (house just right of station sign) fixable ? Or is it an AlpineClimate problem?

It is an alpine climate problem. It is fixable, but only by a new version of the alpine grf which is designed for OpenGFX.

Template for houses:

might it be possible to use the following template for future modifications:

It would make the coding a lot easier.
Thanks in advance. ;-)

Other templates will follow...
