I will add my condolences to all of the others once again. I will also add that I am a long time fan of your work going all the way back to the wonderful buildings you had once made for SimCity 3000. It is great to have you back among us.

Hey SAC! Good to see you forumming again! :D
As you can see, there are still lots and lots of fans about, and as usual, we are all scavenging for the odd bit of grf that may fall our way. 8)
Oh look! I think I see a couple of fans sneaking over this way ...
#1Fan: Hush! She might hear us!
#2Fan: Look! Under her desk ... Is that a ...
#3Fan: Yes! It's a bit of a grf!
#1Fan: She must have dropped it.
#2Fan: Let's go look.
#3Fan: It's shaped like a little delta winged airplane.
#1Fan: It's not an airplane silly! It's the eave of the roof of a house!
#2Fan: Both of you are silly! It's not a grf ... It's a Doritos chip!
#3Fan: Oh yea? Prove it!
#1Fan: Yea! Taste it!
#2Fan: OK! I will ... CRRRUNCHH!
#3Fan: Oooh ... That did sound like a Doritos.
#1Fan: Look! He's stopped eating it!
#2Fan: OUCH!
#2Fan: It was a grf bit!
#1Fan:
#3Fan:

And this is the story of how Stolen trees began. A Doritos chip? I quite like it

Very sorry to hear of your loss SAC...
(Not that saying that really helps :(...)

Either way, welcome back, and I hope things look up for you, as much as is possible.

Good to see you too Wally, although I must say it seems as if the TTDP community has sort of gotten smaller since I left - but I could be wrong of course!

And thanks JGR! Happy to be here! :))

Bit late here, I see. Nice to see that you're back, SAC. Seems I was wrong when stating that you were long gone after all.. I'll be trusting you from now on.

Edit: And yes, the number of TTDP players kind of drowns in the huge number of OpenTTD players nowadays. (Don't shoot me.) JGR is still working on cargodist for TTDP though, so there's still a bunch of TTDP'ers around here.

Doubt it seeing as SAC is a TTDP user.

That's correct, I'm a TTDP user and will be til OTTD offers at least custom bridgeheads! Then I may consider crossing over! :))

And not to worry Benny, I've never considered leaving TTDLX! It's quite enjoyable to lean back towards the simplicity of TTDLX compared to all those 3D games out there! Don't get me wrong, I love to play those 3D games as well, but ever so often I find myself enjoying earlier games such as TTDLX even more simply because it always works! No hazzle with computer requirements or complex game systems...

Just simple and easy!

Oh well, time to continue to prepare my .grf's so I can start playing on that map! :))

You mean .grf wise? If so, I have to say it all depends on your personal preferences and what kind of game you like to play! You may want to be a bit more specific though, but it's difficult to sort of "recommend" anything since we all play TTDLX our own ways... :))

And hi Shadow! :))

Nothing to be excited about though since it's nothing but a bridge...

Yes, it has a bit. Some players have wandered over to OTTD. Some have developed serious cases of "personal life". A lot of it is due I fear to the retirement of a few of our more productive developers and coders, so the players are encountering fewer bugs to complain about. Also, some coders/authors find it simpler to design for OTTD only which is too bad as they have some excellent stuff that would be of benefit to both platforms. In spite of all that, the TTDPatch version is still fun and there are still some interesting developments in the works to keep us all on our toes. :D

Why can't we just have the same mods for each game with the coders and developers needing to design it for both TTPatch and Openttd.

That's misinterpreted my friend! It's nope, I don't play OTTD at the moment, and yes, my work is for both TTDP and OTTD!

SAC, I have a question. What is the most profitable way to get money in the starting point of your company. Note: I use North American Renewal Set 2 (NARS2) and Openttd for it.
