Try drawing yourself, then I can comment.
EDIT : And you're on a wrong section. Should be in TTDP Graphics section.

Ok,i tried, but ruined it while doing the shading...
I need some tips,if somebody could give me the models in greyscale,i could also enjoy just colouring it!
(who can i ask?)

Re: How to make buildings grf
Would that be a 8bpp or a 32bpp building?
In case of 8bpp, there's no shading per se, just that one side of the building is darker than the other side.

Say what? "Shading" always refers to the process of altering the colours of a surface depending on its angle to and its distance from lights, regardless whether it´s 8 or 32bpp.FooBar wrote: [...] In case of 8bpp, there's no shading per se, just that one side of the building is darker than the other side.

But you could still state whether you're making 8bpp or 32bpp graphics

Re: How to make buildings grf
Why didn't anyone point this guy to Purno's drawing tutorials.
Check them out, I learned to do graphics by reading that and I managed damn fine.

Re: How to make buildings grf
That doesn't really matter. The basics of drawing is the same. Buildings is in fact even easier because you need only one view.indio wrote:but the pruno s' drawing turorial it's based for the vehicles, and not for the buildings (unfortnaley)
Start with a decoded trg1(r).grf file and locate a base tile so that you have an idea of the max. width and depth of a building. Next, have a look at the original buildings in trg1 to get a feel of the dimensions. Then follow Purno's tutorial and instead of a train, draw a building!
Also, could you please not make your text blue? I have a hard time reading it on this here grey background...
